general appearance In height, Draco towers above many people, having reached six feet at the age of sixteen. His skin is a pale, milky white color due to his distaste toward being out in the sun for extended periods. Silky white-blond hair hangs over stone gray eyes, which are generally cold and calculating. His frame is thin, nearing the point of being sickly-looking. His hands are slender and almost feminine, free of callouses as he rarely does any hard work. Draco tends to pay extra care to his nails, keeping them buffed and shining.
His face always seems to have the expression of one that has caught a whiff of a very displeasing scent. Generally, his lips are pulled into a scowl and his eyes narrowed to slits. Outside of Hogwarts, he dresses in a very stiff, business attire. His shoes are well-shined and his clothing pressed to perfection. A ring with the Malfoy crest decorates the middle finger of his left hand.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

siblings, none.
overall history, It was a rather overcast day when Draco Malfoy was given birth to. Narcissa had went through a rough pregnancy with the boy, a few complications here and there. It seemed that, even as a fetus the boy had already developed a distaste with society. Some would have liked to speak their minds---say that it was an omen, that the boy would continue to complicate Narcissa and Lucius's dreams of perfection and power. Lucius saw him as a work of art, someone that could be sculpted and modeled after himself. His heir. His mother needed something to keep her busy throughout the day when Lucius was at work. A child was the perfect solution.
Draco spent the majority of his childhood in the Malfoy Manor, only socializing with children his age when his doting parents had meetings or parties with other adults of their kind. This was what was expected of him as the Malfoy heir. He was to do as he was told, no questions asked, or he would face the wrath of Lucius. As he grew up, he was taught how to fence and, through each year, he learned more magic. Time continued to pass and his parents became more obsessed with the Dark Arts and the Dark Lord, both having their own set of reasons for doing so. His father, already a man of intimidating stature, grew more fierce as the days went by. Seeing this, Draco began to mimic his father, wanting nothing more than to be his exact copy.
In 1991, Draco began his first year at Hogwarts. He was taken to Diagon Alley to shop for his school items and, whilst being fitted for his robe, met Harry Potter. He hadn't any idea who he was at the time and rambled on for a while to him. He introduced himself to Harry on the train ride---an introduction that did not go as planned. It was the conversation that would make the two rivals throughout their school years. The arrival at Hogwarts went smoothly and, after entering the Great Hall, was rather impressed by the school, though he said nothing about it. No sooner than the Sorting Hat had touched his head, he was placed in Slytherin. Had he been placed in any other house, he would have been a disgrace to his entire family. He spent much of his first year tormenting the Golden Trio (Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Harry Potter). He found that his grades, though high, were no match to those of Hermione, a Muggleborn. This was one thing that Lucius Malfoy would hound Draco about in the years to come.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Two years ago, the Malfoy family had sat down in the Great Hall after the war, wondering what the future held for them. They had no idea just where they would fit in, given that a new chapter in the book of the Wizarding World had opened. With their previous associations with the Dark Lord, Draco having been one of the newest members of the Death Eaters, each had their hesitancies about continuing to stay in their manor. But with the Dark Lord fallen, they decided just to do as everyone else was doing: pick up the pieces and move on. The manor was cleaned up, any traces of their old allegiance to Voldemort stored away, and the Malfoys attempted to reintroduce themselves to society.
It proved difficult at first, stepping out into the world with their heads held respectively high. For about the first year, people would scatter at the first sight of them. Slowly, however, things improved. Though the invitations to gatherings were fewer (mostly due to the fact that many of their old acquaintances were deceased now), they still existed and the family made appearances at all of them possible. Draco had acquired a manor of his own, not far from his parents'. He hired a small sum of house elves to maintain it and to cook for him. He was not, however, as cruel as his father had been to the ones under his care.
The war had opened Draco's eyes to many things, but the one that was the most unsettling to him was that he had been saved by the opposing side. The people he had expected to watch out for him had not shown a single inkling of concern for him on that tragic day. As he had watched his friend die in the Room of Lost things, Harry Potter had been the hero yet again. He had realized that, perhaps, he had been blinded to the truth about many of the people he had highly respected. Times of war bring out a different side in every person involved. Draco had almost withered away to nothing whilst the war in was progress.
There are many things to be said about living alone, especially in Draco's case. His manor was almost always silent, which could have explained why there were so many books readily available throughout the place. He was learning a sort of responsibility that Narcissa, while he was living with her, had tried to instill in him for years. He found a job, though it was not one that people would have expected him to keep. His father bought out a bookstore for him and Draco spent much of his time keeping it up and running. Lucius would have preferred Draco to have a job at the Ministry, but that was not something the boy cared to do in the present time. What he did currently was, in a way, just something to keep him busy for a while until he found something better. Besides, why should the Malfoy heir have a large career when his parents already had such a large sum of money?
Draco had received an invitation to a fundraiser for St. Mungo's, delivered to his door by a young man in decent fashion. The blonde boy's father was an avid donor to the hospital and they were wishing for Draco to make an appearance. Apparently there was to be a dinner and various forms of entertainment. Though he could have thought of many more interesting way to spend his time, he decided he would attend. After having received the invitation, he set out to find a brand new suit and set of robes for the occasion. One had to be well-dressed at these sorts of things, especially if one's family had been donating to the place for years.
When the night of the event rolled around, Draco found himself standing in front of his full-length mirror, admiring his new articles of clothing. He had chosen an emerald green suit, a black set of robes, and black dress shoes. His hair hung to his shoulders, well cared for, and topped with an emerald green driver's cap. After boarding his carriage (as he preferred the ride to Apparating), his driver set off toward the hospital. The ride was a quiet one, the only sounds coming from the streets and the occasional bump as they rode along. Draco lost himself in thought, a frown creasing the corners of his mouth.
When they pulled up to the front of the hospital, his door was opened by the driver. “Thank you, Thomas. Be waiting for me when I am finished here,” Draco spoke softly, nodding to the other man. Thomas gave him a nod in response and climbed back onto the carriage, driving off. The Malfoy heir walked with his head held high into the entrance of the hospital, silvery eyes sweeping the area. When he arrived in the room the event was to be held in, he immediately noticed one thing; Hermione Granger looked like she was in a frenzy. The invitation had failed to announce just who was to be running the fundraiser. He sighed, shaking his head in irritation. Smirking, Draco approached the Muggleborn, and tipped his hat at her, chuckling. “Good evening, Granger. Had I known you were the head of this entire thing, I would not have bothered coming.”- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
