general appearance Unlike his friends, Moony is rather ordinary. He doesn't have a confident air around him, and doesn't like to stand at the front of the group. Of course he is always proud and carries himself so, but Remus has a permanent quiet nature around him when you first met him. Of course that goes away when you get to know him, but he always seems to walk with a slightly slouch and his chest drawn in, hands in his pockets. Though he is tall, Remus doesn't seem like it as he is constantly slouching, even when he is sitting down, and his body size makes him seems shorter too. As he only weighs in at a small 173lbs, he is rather skinny and lanky, you being able to see his ribs when he is shirtless. But don't worry, he's not malnourished or anything, it's just his nature. Remus is one of those boys that is able to eat thousands upon thousands of calories a day and not gain a single pound, maybe its the fact that he's a werewolf, or the fact that he's just a growing teenager.
Remus has medium length black hair which no matter what you do to it, lays flat on his head and tickles the nape of his neck. He's also got brilliant green eyes, which in some light, look blue slightly. The rest of his face is generally normal. Unlike his friends Sirius and James, he has very soft features as he has retained just the smallest amount of baby fat. His chin is probably the most defined part of his face melting into a very undefined jaw line. Remus also has very plain cheekbones, and his cheeks which he hates, are very squeezable, which people do just to make him angry. When he dresses outside of school, its usually just a t shirt and a pain of jeans, nothing too special. The only other distinguishing mark on Remus's body is the scar across his shoulder leading across his chest, from where the werewolf first attacked him.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

overall personality,
If you didn't know Remus very well, you would say that he was a very quiet and kind boy who would never break any rules and do well in his life. Bullshit. At first glance Remus may seem quiet, but as soon as you get to know him, all that goes out the window. Around his true friends, Remus is just as loud and rambunctious as the rest of them, though he tends to stay in the background a bit more than them. He's more of a follower than a leader, though he can be a leader should he choose, he just prefers to let James lead him. When he's with his friends he's a completely different person than when he's alone. He's full of laughter and more than willing to let them make jokes about him and crack jokes about himself and his condition, something that before had separated him from society. The fact that the Marauders know what he is is like a weight lifted off of his shoulders and he is able to laugh and joke about what he is. Remus is the intelligent one of the group, more often than not doing the other's homework and being the one to provide keep information in order to crack a mystery.
Of course Remus isn't without his faults. Though he is incredibly patient, Remus does have a temper, of course you would need to dive deep through his patience by pushing his buttons before he snaps and shows that anger. He is naturally kind and more than willing to talk to someone, he's just really hard to get to know as he keeps thousands of secrets. Part of Remus's allure is his mystery as no one besides the Marauders really know anything about him. He's just, that guy. Remus is also Protective and loyal to a fault, willing to let himself be sacrificed for the good of his friends and willing to die before he betrayed them. One other thing Remus is, is stubborn, but who in the Marauders isn't?- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

mother & family, Deseree Lupin, a lovely muggle with no particular talent and skilled from the middle of nowhere. She was the one that decided that Remus couldn't be around other children as "he would get hurt by their cruel childish remarks"
father &family, Markus Lupin, a very work orientated wizard who caught Deserre's eye when she was young. Oh, don't worry, hes only the reason why his son is a werewolf, and he feels pity and regret every time he looks Remus in the eye.
siblings, nope.
overall history,
Well lets start with this. Remus was born on March 10th to one wizard named Markus and his lovely muggle wife named Deserre. The couple were absolutely in love with their baby boy and named him Remus after Markus's great grandfather. Deserre was a stay at home house wife and stayed with Remus all day long as Markus went to work at the Ministry. They lived in a moderately large house in the middle of a forest left to them by Markus's parents (you know how wizards are with their privacy). Their life was perfect, Markus bringing home the bread and Deserre looking after their rapidly growing bouncing boy, who seemed to be more often in trouble than not. For the first seven years as he grew up, Remus gave his mother grief, trying to learn how to do magic from his father when he was home and practicing spells when she wasn't looking and making a mess of things and constantly getting in to trouble. That's when their sweet little apple pie life got turned upside down.
Working at the Ministry Markus made enemies. One of these enemies happened to be Greyback. No one is quiet sure why Greyback took a disliking to Markus, except Markus himself, a secret which he took to his grave. We only know that Greyback took revenge on Markus through his son. One day Remus was out back running around in the forest around their home playing as only a eight year old could. Soon the light started to fade and Remus found himself outside in the dark under a full moon. Big mistake. Next thing he knew a shape flew out of the shadows and pain lanced across his shoulder and chest, and his parents didn't find him until the morning. Quickly Markus healed the wound as best he could, but just to be safe he took him to the nearest wizard hospital were he was healed farther. But after a few days after the attack the wound had turned into a scar and poor Remus was diagnosed with the werewolf curse.
And so life changed drastically. Remus was thrown head first into this new life, his outgoing attitude drawing inward until he was quick and well, withdrawn into himself. His parents were worried and searched for a cure for as hard and as long as they could, but nothing could be done for him. Remus was now a werewolf. All of his hopes and dreams seemed dashed as his parents kept him inside the house all day, hiding him away from the world incase he hurt someone on the outside. They had even built him a shack in which he could transform in. Life was nothing but seclusion for young Remus and so he locked himself away in his father's study reading and re reading all the books on the shelves and helping his mother out around the house.
This brings us to Remus's 11th birthday. His hopes of going to Hogwarts had been dashed when he had been turned into a werewolf, and so he wasn't expecting a letter at all. What he got was something much better. One day he was sitting on the couch and the door bell rang. Of course being the only home, his father at work and his mother out shopping, he answered only to find Albus Dumbldore standing in his doorway. Naturally Remus was confused, why would this wizard be here? Well it was to talk to Remus about coming to Hogwarts. Remus was over joyed with the fact that he was actually able to go to a school and learn magic that he started packing his things right away. And that's how he found himself at Hogwarts. No sooner had he walked through the doors than he was being sorted. Because of him being a werewolf he believed that the hat would place him in Slytherin, but to his amusement, he found himself placed in Gryffindor. It was there that he met James Potter and Sirius Black, whom would become his best friends for his time at Hogwarts along with Peter Pettigrew. Remus had no idea why the three wanted to be his friends as from his time alone Remus had become social awkward and was something of a book worm. But they became amazing friends and Remus found himself with something that he had never really had before. A place that he was accepted and loved for who he was.
Of course the others (Marauders) didn't know about Remus's condition, and so every month he would disappear for a night, or even a few days. At first the others didn't really question it, but rumors started spreading out around the Shrieking Shack, the place that Remus was using to transform in, and eventually the boys figured it out. Of course it took them almost four years before they did (Remus was the intelligent one of the group you see). One night while they were in their forth year, Remus snuck off to his usual place to transform, but little did he know that Sirius had followed him. Seeing Remus transform he went back to the school and told James and Peter what Remus really was. Remus was shattered. He believed that his only true friends were going to leave him alone, never talk to him again and completely abandon him. In fact they did the opposite. They were going to help him. Remus was so overcome with gratitude and happiness that he locked himself in the boys bathroom and cried for almost a full day. He couldn't believe that his friends were learning how to transfigure themselves into animals that would be able to help tame a werewolf. Ever since that day, Remus has been a loyal and complete and utter friend and brother to the three other members of the Marauders. Of course there was that one time last year when Remus almost killed Snape because Sirius had told him how to get into the Shrieking Shack when Remus transformed. He was so mad when he found out that he didn't talk to Sirius for two whole weeks. But that's all water under the bride now.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Noises. Voice talking. A guy and a girl whispering to each other. Groggily, Remus opened his eyes, slightly confused at the blurry words that were staring at him. A book, he came to realize. Moaning slightly to himself, the seventeen year old pushed the text book, Advanced Rune Translation it said on the cover, off of his face to only have if plop on the ground of the Gryffindor common room. Sitting up, he rub the palms of his hands into his eyes, trying to force the sleepiness from his eyes, his naturally flat hair standing up every which way from where he had been rubbing his face against the couch. What time was it? How long had he been sleeping for? Yawning and not bothering to cover it up, Remus stretched and looked around at his fellow Gryffindors around him. Standing up, the third Marauder, Remus couldn't help but chuckle when he thought that, he rubbed his lower back and started to head towards the staircase leading up to the boy's dorms. On his way up he stopped, and looked out of the window, the scenery still taking his breath away even after these last seven years.
It pained him to think that this would be his last year at the school for witchcraft and wizardry. This was the only place that he could call home. It was the only place where he had ever really been accepted, had ever really had friends. Sirius and James and Peter were his real family and the only time that he had ever gotten to spend almost all of his time with them were at this school. When he went home... that time got diminished. What would happen when the four of them left Hogwarts? Would the Marauders break up like some of those Muggle bands, only reuniting one every year for a few hours to talk about the 'good old days'? Nah. It wouldn't be like that. The four young boys were like conjoined twins, all four of them attached at the hip, unable to let go of each other. They would probably figure out a way to spend the rest of their lives together, living near each other like next door neighbors. Maybe they'd get a house and live as roommates for a while. Remus smiled softly to himself. That idea floated around in his head, and he was almost positive that Sirius, who had never really had a home either, would jump at the chance. Of course, there was the whole entire part about Remus being a werewolf that would throw a kink into things.
Ever since before he had even thought about going to school, whether or not it was muggle or wizard, he had been living with this curse of his. He had never been able to be around other kids for the fear that he would hurt them, and so had spent many years of his childhood living in isolation, with only his parents for company, and sometimes they hadn't wanted to be around him. Remus had thought that his hopes and dreams had been dashed before they had even started. Of course he had stilled applied to go to Hogwarts, but he had never thought that he would be able to. Then one day a rather tall and bearded man had shown up at his door to ask him to come. Dumbldore, one of the greatest wizards of all time had come to ask him, a little tiny werewolf kid to come to Hogwarts. All he could think of was the fact that he would be able to hang around other children, to be treated as a normal child and most of all, to learn as a normal child. Of course precautions would have to be set in place, but tiny Remus hadn't really been able to hear that before he found himself crying and leaping into the old man's lap for a hug. That had been so childish of him, but hey, what else would a eleven year old do? Next thing he knew, he was walking through the doors of Hogwarts where not long after he had met Sirius and James, and of course, little Peter.
Remus couldn't suppress a yawn as he looked out of the window. A few nights ago it had been a full moon, and of course he had found himself shut up in the Shrieking Shack doing his... well his werewolf business. No matter what he did, whether he just sat there, or ran around hunting things, he was always so tired in the following week, and this week was no different. Sighing to himself, and wondering what the rest of the Marauders were up to, he finished walking up the stairs and promptly fell into his bed, head on the pillow, and asleep within a few minutes, but it didn't last as a weight, someone sitting down probably, shifted the mattress underneath him. Moony sighed. "Whhhaaatttttt?"- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
