Friday afternoons were the absolute best, no matter what time period you were in. At least, that was what Harper Marowski had decided as she lounged about in the courtyard after her final class of the day, Herbology. She had no books or homework with her, because honestly it was a sunny day and, while it was somewhat chilly, it was quite nice out. And the only reason that Harper wasn't up in the Gryffindor Common Room getting ready for a potential party that night was because, well, she didn't know of any parties going on around the castle. Unless those Death Eater wannabes were having a party, in which case Harper wouldn't want to go to that anyway since she'd probably be made into the main course of party favors. And she really wasn't interested in death at the moment, so staying safely away was probably the best option even if there was a party.
So, the Gryffindor was humming to herself, looking up at the clear blue sky, only freckled with the remains of clouds, her chocolate brown eyes picking out little shapes and amusing herself with that as she sat there. Anyone who passed would probably say that she looked bored, and the truth was that Harper really did feel kind of sluggish and that she ought to be doing something else - something worth while.
Harper huffed. Why wasn't there a party tonight? It wasn't like anyone was prepping for the masquerade ball just yet, because it was still a ways off. Besides, she wanted to celebrate getting an O on a Charms essay that she'd written (either the professor hadn't been paying attention or expectations were a lot lower here in the past... whichever that was, Harp hoped it was the latter). It was probably the first O she'd ever received on a written assignment, and she was absolutely ecstatic. She wished that she'd have been able to show her mother and father, but she knew that it was impossible... considering as they lived twenty years from now together, and Harper couldn't send them a letter now because they'd probably think that she was insane.
"Whoever did this is an ass," Harper grumbled in reference to whatever person had done this to her and the other students who'd been pushed back in time. She missed her family already. She missed her proud father, her loving muggle mother, and her baby brothers and sister. She wanted to go home.

Emmelia Jenelle Jammison was sprinting through the halls of Hogwarts. She couldn't wait to get outside of the walls, she felt as if she was trapped in them all week, and just couldn't stand it any longer. All the while she ran she couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen tonight. Surely there would be something going on since it is the beginning of the weekend. The Slytherins were definitely going to be throwing a party in the Common Room, but she didn't particularly feel like joining in their festivities today either. It had been a while since she had drank with her Gryffindor mates and she missed them dearly. Perhaps the Three Broomsticks was in need tonight.
As her mind wandered she didn't notice that she was already outside of the castle and into the courtyard. About to run head first into an upcoming student. Within a matter of seconds Emmelia went tumbling to the ground right next to an unfamiliar Gryffindor girl. She stood up quickly and immediately began to apologize to the girl. "I am so sorry! Are you alright?" Emmelia rambled on and began to help the girl back to her feet. "Oh, Merlin. I am so sorry! I wasn't paying attention, and I feel terrible! I am so sorry! Did I hurt you in any way? Here, let me help you to the Hospital Wing just in case! I would feel so much better if you got checked out!"
She then began to mentally scold herself for being so stupid to not pay attention while running around grounds. She felt horrible for knocking the girl completely over, and she knew what the girl was probably thinking also. Emmelia was a Slytherin after all...even though she really didn't do it on purpose either.
"I'm really sorry..." She whispered yet another apology.

Well, for one, Harper really wasn't expecting to get run into, by a Slytherin of all people. She never kept it a secret that she was a halfblood, so a majority of the Slytherins (the soon-to-be Death Eaters as Harper knew them) tended to avoid contact with her unless they were getting ready to hex her or something of the sort. But, if anything, Harper knew that it was never a good thing to stereotype, but almost none of the Slytherins she had encountered so far were worth her time unless they were in for a duel.
So as she tumbled to the ground, the last thing she expected was an apology from this girl, and Harper grunted as she crashed to the ground, scraping an elbow on the stone. But she'd been raised in a Muggle neighborhood with bicycle accidents and running races gone wrong, so a scrape was nothing for the Gryffindor as she started to push herself up but found herself being helped up by the girl who'd run into her. Harper raised her eyebrows in surprise at the reaction the Slytherin was making, and a grin slowly formed on her face as she brushed herself off and observed the scrape on her elbow. It was minor - nothing that hurt too badly.
"Hey now, might want to stop taking down Gryffindors like that or you might be called a terrorist," Harper laughed. Seeing people so frantic only made her amused, and hopefully the brightness in her eyes showed the other girl that she wasn't really upset in the least. "Honestly, I'm alright. There's no need to apologize for an accident - I know how those are, trust me. This is probably a really shabby introduction, but I'm Harper. I'm a transfer, and I swear I don't bite like a snake or a lion."
