The corridors were eerily quiet this time of night, though he supposed that that was a good thing—it meant that students were being behaved enough to abide by the curfew, which in the end would make his job a whole lot easier. But at the same time…it made patrolling the halls a little, dare he say it? Boring. And to make matters worse, he was patrolling alone—the other Gryffindor Prefect had come down with some sort of illness and was therefore given the night off. One of the Ravenclaw Prefects had offered to go with him but he politely declined, no point in making someone else waste their night away when they didn’t need to—right? Besides, the full moon was fast approaching and Remus was already beginning to feel its effects—he was a little tired and was feeling a little short tempered when it came to certain people.
A light sigh passed over his lips as he rounded the corner, the silence surrounding him gave him a lot room to think, mostly about assignments that he needed to complete and partially about the latest prank that he and his fellow Marauders were currently planning out—it was going to be big that was for sure.
His thoughts were interrupted by what sounded like nails scraping against some sort of solid object and the clinking of belt buckles, these sorts of noises weren’t uncommon to hear this late at night and that was precisely the reason why they had need to patrol the corridors at night, to stop this sort of inappropriate behavior from happening. Though, just because he was in a position of authority didn’t make this part of the job any less awkward, having to interrupt a couple was a little embarrassing, but it needed to be done. The Gryffindor sidled up next to the broom cupboard and without giving the occupants any warning, pulled open the door and stepped aside as the two students fell out and onto the floor.
Remus opened his mouth to scold them but before he had the chance to say anything the two students picked up their clothing and ran off, presumably in the direction of their common room, completely mortified at having been caught. Well, that solves that problem.
He didn't have very much time to think on the subject any longer before the sounds of shuffling feet behind him caught his attention and he whirled around just in time to see a figure drawing closer to him.
[sorry it took forever x.x! And sorry it's not very good, I'm horrible at starters xD!]

Emmelia Jenelle Jammison loved bending the rules around Hogwarts. Curfew was ridiculous to her, there were too many halls, rooms, and passageways in the castle to be covered by just a few prefects and Filch and his nasty cat. Besides she knew her way around the castle like the back of her hand. She didn't need light to travel around the dark corridors, instead she allowed her senses to take control and navigate her way. It also made her more sneaky under the mask of the shadows in the corridors. Even if she was caught she wasn't afraid of detention. Hell it was practically her home to begin with so it really didn't matter.
She was sneaking around the halls in a pair of jeans and a black v-neck shirt that she just threw on. Her wand was in her back pocket and she attempted to make as little noise as possible. She turned a corner just as one of the prefects was busting a couple for doing the dirty in a broom closet. Emmelia snickered and curiously walked closer to the poor fellow that had to witness it. A smile immediately flashed on her face when she caught glimpse of Remus Lupin's face. He was one of her great friends at the school, someone who actually knew her personally, and wouldn't particularly care if she was out past curfew either.
Besides Emmelia was just headed to the Gryffindor Common Room to sneak in and see who was up. Luckily that didn't have to happen anymore, since he was just the person she wanted to see. It's been a while since she talked to Remus and she missed seeing him. She had to admit he was very handsome but she didn't really want to make their friendship awkward or have him push her away if he felt something totally opposite of her either.
Emmelia walked up to Remus and snickered saying, "The halls are particularly quiet tonight. Good thing I'm here to take away your boredom!"
(I thought it was good!)

He squinted his eyes against the dark, silently muttering Lumos under his breath and pointing the lit end of his wand in the direction that the figure was coming from. To his relief it wasn’t any unsavory character, rather, it was a good friend of his who he hadn’t had the chance to see or speak with for quick some time. She was among one of the only kind-hearted Slytherins, in his opinion, and it was no surprise that they had instantly hit it off and become quick friends—despite the rivalry between their two houses.
Remus lowered his wand, a cheerful smile light up his face as she drew closer and closer, “Fancy seeing you up and about at this time of night. Not getting into any mischief, are you? ” His voice was light and teasing and there was a mischievous glint in his eye, he was genuinely glad that it was her and not someone that he’d actually have to bust for being out past curfew—it would be nice to have a little company on his patrol, rather than having to wander the dark corridors by himself. It was quite lonely, and not to mention that insufferable stillness—sure there were the creaks of the castle due to its age, but those noises hardly drowned out the deathly quiet of the halls. The previous exhaustion that he had been feeling prior to her arrival quickly dissipated, and while his body still physically felt tired from the pre-full moon effects the same couldn’t be said for his mentality. Em was a good friend of his and just having her around seemed to have lifted the lethargic veil that he’d been blanketed with. Her presence gave his mind the quick jumpstart that it needed to keep him on his toes, “ It seems like forever since we’ve had the chance to talk. How’ve you been?” (sorry it's a bit short D:)

Emmelia has known Remus since they first started Hogwarts. Way back when they were little youngsters looking for new beginnings, learning who their true friends are, and most of all getting themselves into trouble. She fit right in with Remus and his friends, it was a shock at first at how well she did, considering she was a Slytherin and all. She grew used to the fact that most people would judge her when they would first meet her. After all her house gave her an awful name and reputation. There were some things that she hasn't got to tell Remus yet, but she's been waiting to see him and fill him in on what has been going on.
Emmelia could trust Remus with anything and he was one of the few that she trusted knowing her whole family situation as well. She didn't really broadcast the fact that her parents abused her, her father keeps writing her death threats, that they branded her with the mark and were going to send her on a killing spree to try and turn her their way. All of it was just not something people should know, and the last part of it Remus didn't know just yet either. That's part of the reason why she headed out so late tonight, she was curious to see if she would run into him, and catch him alone so they could talk. She missed her friend and needed to get some things off of her chest as well.
"Me, getting into mischief? Psssh, Remus, you know me better than that." Emmelia smirked and chuckled. Of course she was up to no good, what else would she be doing out this late at night...past curfew. "No, I was actually hoping I'd run into you. It really does seem like it's been ages since we last got to talk." She added. She didn't know how she was going to bring up her whole situation, but she hoped that he would understand and try to help her. She bit her bottom lip lightly and said, "Things really haven't been good at all..." How was she going to tell him that she was forced into being a Death Eater? She didn't want him to freak out and push her away. He was one of the best friend's she's ever had and that was the last thing she wanted.
