It had only been sixteen hours, but Harry already felt like he had been in the wrong era for a decade. Within those hours, his entire world had been turned upside down with absolutely no explanations. Not even Hermione had any idea of why they had woken up in the seventies. For now, they simply had to live with the fact that they were transfer students, foreign and unknown to the current Hogwarts students. He couldn’t even remember how he had felt last night, going to bed in his own era. It was like years had passed since that time. Harry never lived a particularly normal life, but this was going above and beyond abnormal.
He decided to skip out on dinner. He didn’t think he could do it after the long day he’d already had. He’d made an excuse to Ron and Hermione, and they had looked at him with a knowing expression, especially Hermione. She knew how hard it was for him to see his parents and not be able to talk to them the way he wanted to. As they’d gone into the Great Hall, Harry made his way out the front doors of the magnificent castle and down towards the lake, hoping to find it unoccupied by more people he knew as adults, not students. His initial glance proved successful. Seeing that most people were probably at dinner, Harry continued at a leisurely pace, taking his time.
Finding himself a tree to slide down against, he closed his eyes a moment, processing the day. He had seen his mother and his father. It hadn’t been hard to run into them—they were both Gryffindors, after all. He’d seen his mother right away, and it had turned his stomach. What had happened to them? It was like some sick joke to him. Yes, he could speak to his parents and perhaps get to know them, but he couldn’t tell them that he was their child. He couldn’t tell them how much he missed them daily, or how much he loved them. Instead, he could make petty small talk about the weather, or about an essay they had to write. It seemed so wrong to him. He was able to see his parents, and even befriend them, but he wasn’t able to tell them how he truly felt, or who he really was. It was heartbreaking. Hermione had already told him fifteen times that he mustn’t speak a word of who any of the transfer students were. And he knew that. But, it was a massive struggle to him.
Picking a few blades of grass, he found himself absentmindedly pulling them apart. He hadn’t seen his father until later in the day. It had been in passing in the corridors. He’d been with Sirius and Remus. Harry had instantly felt a pang in his chest, wanting so much to be a part of them, to tell them all of the future, to warn them. Harry hadn’t seen Pettigrew, but if and when he did, he knew he was going to struggle to hold himself together. Hermione had also warned him about twenty other times that anything he said and did could impact the future. And right now, they were the future. Leaning his head against the bark of the tree, he took a deep, long sigh. If he closed his eyes, he could almost pretend that he was back in the nineties, and everything was perfectly normal.
When he opened them, he felt only more sick. He was going to need to adjust to this whole idea. It had an exciting quality to it, but, it was heartbreaking at the same time. Plus, they had no idea how they were going to get back. What if they were stuck there forever? What would happen to them, in the future? Thinking of it all made him entirely caught up in riddles, with no answers. Throwing down the blades of grass, he looked out across the lake, remembering fonder moments spent by the side of the lake, sitting in this exact position. Harry could never just have a few moments of normalcy in his life.

luna, had never been a selfish girl. she would never beg for something, or do something she'd regret to get what she wanted and overall there was nothing that brought her to those measures, and all in all she was one of the kindest girls who'd always put someone in front of her, before thinking of her first.
but right now, had luna never felt so greedy in her whole life.
you know, there was alot of wonderful things that luna had loved to believe. she believed that anyone who was good would win at the end, that nargles wouldn't hurt her as long as she would have protection, and that one day she'd see her mother as long as she continued believing... but she had never expected truthfully that she would get to her last one as quick as she did now. finding herself now in the 70's was quite a shock even for luna, but seeing both her father and her alive mother walking past her was even an scare that she couldn't believe. she always wished in the night sky to the holy hickludghs that her father told her about, that something like this would happen--and here she was living in a prayer, in her own dream, that she spent years on hoping for to happen. and whether, this was just another of her own delusions or if it was actually happening, she hoped to whoever was controlling this wouldn't wake her up. because if fate wanted her to be in the 1970's with her parents, then she'd take it graciously to walk in their corridors.
but frankly, she didn't know what to do first. seeing the people you would usually see as professors or adults, nearly everyone would be befuddled in this sort of situation. she had already talked to her parents. holding the temptations that her wits knew best about confessing their relationship or recommending her ' mum ' to be more careful when she grew up, she had held her invisible mourning so dearly staring at them with her usual silver ghoulish eyes. she would of already been introduced to them, anyway. after all being the proud family of ravenclaws there wasn't a possible chance out of it, and even if she had an option she would of probably talked to them, since she couldn't resist. there was no chance of explaining how much she loved seeing her mother again. her similar eyes, gentle smile, it was so, so difficult not to hug her when she saw the angelic figure amiss of her... if only there was a way she could confess to her. how much she loved, cherished her, missing her kisses she clearly remembers and her at the bedside wishing her goodnight, and telling ' i love you ' when she fell asleep...
so many thoughts at the usually blank mind, of luna had came running in her brain. how she got here was completely not her thinking, but it was more how she was going to fit in and if she was the only person here who had found herself here. really, she did never fit in though but hey, she was a transfer student...and luna after all found herself perfectly normal, anyway.
striding through the slight empty halls, luna found herself no craving for going to dinner. she never had been that hungry the time she woke up here, and the ravenclaw girl felt wonderful if she could share her content with the nature that was outside and also it's creatures flying around, including her most famous humdingers, and crumpled horned-snorkacks. taking a notice, she realized there was plenty amount of people staring at her as she walked, dazing at the ceiling as though the most magnificant thing was exposed. while her radish earrings danced side by side walking out of the humongous doors of the castle, luna concluded that they were probably surprised seeing a new student a little late at the year. then she continued to think more of her future parents, wondering what they were like and if her dad could introduce her to the beings he boasted so much at home, about that he saw when was a teen....had a bouncing bassnapper really had been spotted in his bed? she really would of liked it if she could of saw what it looked like....
pausing her thought she stopped smoothly, feeling the grass stomp against her shoes (she was happy, she actually had them on for once) as she tilted her head staring at another figure a few feet away against a tree in front of her. ' oh! ' she thought. and with that she gave a faint smile before speeding her walk and finding herself peering down to the boy she knew best, below her. "hello harry! it's nice to see you here, too." she said calmly. "not hungry either?"
notes kind of...alot of rambling. xD didn't want too write too little, but i wrote a little too much hah

Harry had a tendency to get lost in his thoughts and worries. So, when he was suddenly jolted back into the present by a familiar voice, he wasn’t surprised. He found himself a bit startled by the sudden outbreak of voice. He’d thought he was entirely alone. Hearing the voice, he didn’t even need to turn his head to identify the person with whom it went. Luna. She always did have a way of sneaking up on him whenever he wasn’t paying the slightest bit of attention. It was funny, really. One second he was alone, the next there she was, always such a bright spot on even the rainiest of days. Turning his head to meet her voice, he found a slight smile played at his lips, even if he was feeling completely miserable and moody.
The one good thing about this experience thus far was that he hadn’t been sent back into the past by himself. Not only did Ron and Hermione manage to make the trip, but others, like Luna, did as well. It made him happy to see that she had traveled through time as well. A lingering thought struck his mind, wondering who else made the journey that spanned several decades, a certain red-headed Weasley female, to be exact. However, he pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind. He had way too much on his plate at the moment to worry about anything else. He was genuinely glad to see a familiar face, especially Luna’s.
Harry had a soft spot for the rather odd girl. Most people just laughed at her, but he knew how much of a good person she actually was. Harry could honestly say that she was one of his closest friends, besides Ron and Hermione. He would never doubt that she would stand beside him when needed. They had a different friendship, perhaps a bit weird, but Harry enjoyed it. Having Luna there in the seventies as well reassured him slightly. He wasn’t going to have to go through this alone, he reminded himself. They truly were in this together. Moving over a little, he managed to make some room against the wood of the tree for Luna to sit down, if she pleased.
“Hello, Luna.” [/color] He paused, smiling in a genuine way. “Yes, I’m glad to see you’ve made the journey, too.” [/color] He responded to her question with a shake of his head. How could anyone be hungry at a time like this? Well, Ron would still be hungry if the sky was falling, and Hermione was being practical. Harry knew he should be eating something, anything really. But, he didn’t have the energy to go and sit in the Great Hall and see all of those vaguely familiar faces. Or have someone mistake him for his father. Now, that was a killer. “How are you taking all of this?”[/color] He questioned the blonde girl, looking out across the lake again, eyes fixed on the landscape in the distance. Harry knew that once he got used to the whole idea of the time traveling thing, he was going to enjoy it. Maybe too much. He didn’t know how he was going to speak to his parents and not be able to warn them about their Peter Pettigrew and the betrayal that led to their death. Or how he was going to speak to them without simply stating he was their child. His parents weren’t even together. Telling them they ended up together, with him as a child, could potentially alter the future, could even prevent his birth. It was all too much to take in for the first day. Maybe tomorrow, after he’d let it all soak in, would he be able to see the situation more rationally. ooc: don't worry about it! it was fine =D [/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]SING TO ME, I DON'T WANT TO WAKE UP ANYMORE Staring in a almost longingly way as the older boy scooted back given for her as a invite she gratefully smiled back before finally getting comfortable moving around as she took a seat as a response. "Thank you." She replied, mannerly now pouring her dreamy eyes and soft voice towards the glasses wearing boy. Luna had always admired Harry. When it came to chivalry and courtesy the gryffindor had never dismissed her, shunned her, nor judged her for being who she was, and whenever she felt lonely Harry, accounting from Ginny, was always there surrounding her and listening to her to make her feel more significant.
And oh, how she loved when others listened to her--she loved it even more when it was talking with a friend-like figure too. And meeting Harry, was everything like that and more; Luna hadn't put much thought into it now, but she hadn't realized how much she's changed in only a few years, and how happy she's been lately. Having friends who acted with pure kindness, and having people who didn't mind you around them and stand up for her; it was like a very wonderful thing, she could say to put it in a sentence. Perhaps, it was like one of the most marvelous feelings she's had in quite some time, and as much as she loves her Father and what they do together, having others that were defined as friends overall had an equal feeling to her whenever he was with her; meaning that she felt like they were family, a family of friends who did nothing more but care deeply for one another....
"Ah, yes...I thought I was the only one here. It would have been a sad thought to think really, I haven't made much friends, so i'm glad too so I wouldn't have to feel so lonely...." She paused thoughtfully looking away, as if paying attention to something extrodinary for a moment before looking back appearing to be zoned out. "Though, you didn' t seem that glad when I saw you first. Is that why you didn't go to dinner? Oh, I wonder if Ginny is here too I should check later...." Staring up in the sky now, letting Harry soak her reply in she began to wonder.
As much as she loved seeing her mother again and also Harry, she'd still feel desolate if she couldn't find Ginny. Yes, she was quite more content then she was before now, knowing that Harry Potter had joined her in her fantastic dream but still, she knew that the boy was older then her and that Ginny was really her closest friend. Plus, like the saying goes, A puzzle can't fit without all it's pieces... And Ginny Weasley was definitely a piece of her puzzle, or in reality, a piece of Luna's life. Gazing at him piercing the boy with big soft eyes and faint smile, her grin only widened now joining him in his sights into observing in the beautiful and almost sparkling environment.
"I rather love being here." She simply replied while the moments passed, feeling the cool breeze pass them escaping from the air and running through her hair. "I got to see my Mum again. She's a nice person really, I do enjoy talking to her. Daddy is still the same, he warned me that a Nargle was behind me, but I told him he was silly, because we all know baby ones can't hurt you." Luna looked back around again circling her sight, before targeting it right back to Harry's wandering face. "...But overall I like being here, although I do miss my older Daddy. I think he might be worried soon, yes. But I can't help but to be happy to see my Mother again....I think i've never been this happy for a while. I wonder if fate brought us here. The holy hickludghs always cast your wish right, so I don't think it's none of there doing." The ravenclaw surprisingly blinked, looking at him smiling. She really was happy, and she sure did have a handful to express herself of it. "How about you, Harry?"

Harry felt Luna’s presence beside him and he was glad she had accepted his invitation to sit down. He couldn’t help feeling a bit better. Luna’s dreamy aura seemed to penetrate into Harry’s rather solemn thoughts, and it felt like a weight had been lifted off of his chest. Yes, he felt better after speaking with Ron and Hermione, but Luna had just a dreamy quality about her that instantly put Harry into a better mood. Suddenly very glad that she had found him here and interrupted his thoughts, Harry gave her a friendly smirk.
Growing up, Harry didn’t have any real family. The Dursley’s certainly didn’t count, at least in his mind. They had always treated him like rubbish. Once he had gone off to Hogwarts, he found himself making the best of friends, and they quickly became his family. The Weasley’s were practically his actual family. Hermione was like a true sister to him. And then there was Neville, Luna, and Ginny. He loved them all dearly, and in his mind, they were more than just his friends. They had, over the years, become like family to him. Harry found himself often times feeling protective of Luna, especially when someone was treating her poorly. Luna was a true friend, and one of the kindest people Harry had ever met. She did not deserve the way people treated her. Yes, she may be a bit on the odd side, but Harry thought of her as almost family.
He nodded at her words. Thankfully, he wasn’t alone. If he had been alone, he knew that he wouldn’t have been able to contain himself. He would have spilled the beans to his parents and everyone else in minutes. He would have told his parents he was their child, warned them against their so called friend, attacked Peter Pettigrew, and threw a few curses at some future death eaters. The list could simply go on and on. If Harry had found himself lost in time alone, he knew he would have just caused havoc, thinking perhaps that he was hallucinating. Having others there with him made it much more real, more believable. “I would be in so much trouble right now if I were here alone.” He gave her a rather mischievous smile. He was behaving, but it was much in thanks to Hermione.
He wasn’t surprised she had picked up on him not being happy. It wasn’t that he was unhappy about the situation. It was actually rather wonderful. It just hurt him, he supposed. He knew it was going to kill him to get to know his parents and yet not be able to change their fate. He was going to feel so helpless, and that was one feeling that Harry hated more than anything. “It is rather exciting. It’s just taking some getting used to.” He smiled again, giving her some reassurance as well as himself. He knew that once he was used to the idea, he was going to love it. He wanted to befriend his father and the rest of the Marauder’s, minus Pettigrew. He wanted to meet his mother and spend time getting to know her, the lovely woman most people described her as.
A few moments passed before Luna spoke, relaying her true feelings about being in the wrong era. Harry watched her as she spoke, grinning. She truly was making him feel much better about the situation. He couldn’t say he was surprised. He knew that once he got around someone that enjoyed this and made him see the best out of it, he was going to agree. And Luna was the perfect person to have interrupt such serious thinking. Instantly, he felt himself adopting her carefree, exciting attitude about the time traveling. After she had finished, he realized she asked him of his thoughts, and he paused a moment, collecting himself. “At first, I was a bit shaken. It’s hard to see my mum and dad and not be able to tell them how much I love and miss them. Or to warn them about Pettigrew. I wish I could change the future. It’s just a bit overwhelming and hard to take.” He paused, a pensive look on his face. “But, I can’t say that I’m not excited to get to know my parents. I don’t remember anything about them. It’s like this is a whole new chance to meet them. Even though I can’t just tell them I’m their son, I get to at least talk to them in person.” His words got a bit more excited towards the end, as if the realization of the glory of this time travel was finally sinking in. “Now that I think of it, I’m rather excited. I can be best mates with my dad, hopefully. And I’ll get to meet my mum. I just don’t understand why we are here.” He finished, his attitude completely different than it had been moments before, all thanks to Luna.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]SING TO ME, I DON'T WANT TO WAKE UP ANYMORE The Words: ALOT The muse : playradioplay The Notes MUSE IS KINDA BACK "Really?" She said with a pinch of interest in her calm, collected tone. Looking away again her eyes glittered into the empty appearance of which was nothing, as her as always trance-like mind begin to search around and explore across the land. "Perhaps I would of ended up in alot of trouble here, too." She replied unsure whether she was joking, or actually being serious. With her alive smile still touching on her face, her voice had been a bit humorless within the response, in which she said. To much where she had always adored having dreams, that before she thought she was in, she had treated each one that she remembered as if it was real. Whether it was one about dancing with her Father in the moonlight to find a Snorkack using it's mating call, or simply just one where she was standing mirroring herself and observing her own self move, Luna had believed that each dream was truly real she was just in another dimension while she was living and in her other reality, Luna was only sleeping as she was awake in another.
But, even she knew that what she was in was not just another silly dream or trip to a more, fantastic dimension. And even if it was, seeing her own Mother alive she dearly had the desire and the crave, to take her back from this dimension she was in and wake up, in her own just to see the lovely warm face of hers--but not as the seventh year still in Ravenclaw no, the one she knew the best when she was nine before her accident. However, Luna already apprehended that dream or not, that was impossible. In the two worlds that were both ' dream ' and ' reality ' there was no probable chance that she could stitch them together, she had already experienced that from dreaming of wanting her Mother back, for so long.
And as for this being real, that was the most believable conclusion (even if had no explanation), if ever to mention the name Luna Lovegood in one whole sentence to her, she knew that her Mother would raise an eyebrow and something would go terribly wrong; Luna had already known about time-travel and it's ' butterfly effect ', she was a Ravenclaw after all and it was merely simple knowledge. But then again, no matter how much she could of been patient of not to say anything, secretly it drove her mad that she couldn't tell her. As much as she was grateful to see her late Mother's face again, you could only be happy to be given a reward for so long, but to not see the actual prize in a way, made her a bit sad.... "Yes, Yes, I think i'll like it here, surprises are always fun...."
Sounding as if speaking to herself, she continued to look out in the space smiling as she thought in her mind what new things could bring here, but felt a bit low at thinking what old things which couldn't. Being the ' Daddy's Girl ' with her Father, she was still a bit worried though she was reassured. She felt as if, she lost one parent to receive another. Yet at the same time she was glad that she got to meet her though even if it wasn't really the same back when she was little. Still, she had to admit that her Mother was as much similiar young, as she was older which made her happy that the parental spot of a Mother had been a bit filled even if it was the slightest after it's sudden drop a couple years ago. And though it was a little happiness she grew back, the sprout of what used to be made her feel as if everything was new.
"I see. Yes, I think it would have been nice to change the future." Luna replied coolly finally setting back her face towards Harry. When it came to talking she was almost like a non-stop chatterbox happy to use her freedom, but when it came to others she was much more of a listener. It was nice to hear other's opinions and she's always more droned to listen to others instead of arguing or questioning others cause like her, she rather doesn't like someone interrupting (which she faces on a daily basic). "I don't think my Mum would want me to do anything reckless, though. I'd love her to be alive, but it's best to sacrifice and just appreciate what I have now. Your parents are probably lovely, Harry. It seems your Dad is as popular as you are..." She smiled as she continued to listen to the other boy's last words.
"I think fate brought us here," She complied unsurprisingly looking away once again from the other. "To let us see our parents again, so we can meet them, get to know them, and never forget them. That's just me, of course. I think it would be silly just to wake up here in the past for no reason. Don't you agree?"
