general appearance When Meleny is at Hogwarts she wears her Gryffindor robes. She always wears the pendant her mother gave her when she turned 11 and first started Hogwarts. To her the pendant is a security item that she holds onto very tightly. Since her mother works a lot as an auror it helps her feel closer to her when her mother can't always be there. Various parts of her body are covered in scars since the majority of her family is evil. She does her best to cover them up because she's very self-conscious about them.

She dosen't wear any makeup except for the occasional eyeshadow and blush to hide the scars on her face. She currently wears muggle concealer products to hide the black eye she got before the start of her fifth year. She dosen't wear any other jewlery besides that necklace and has no earrings or any kind of piercings because she always thought it was tacky. She never does anything with her hair and rarely puts it up but still manages to stay well-groomed and cared for.Meleny has long brown hair and blue eyes. She's 5'2 and weighs about 170 lbs. When she doesn't have to wear the Hogwarts uniform she wears muggle clothing such as jeans and t-shirts. Casual wear is her favorite thing besides the Gryffindor robes. She's very athletic and plays Quidditch sometimes even though she has an immense fear of bludgers and has been told she can hit one out of the stadium.

Originally her skin was slightly pale and maybe even tan but it's currently gotten paler from lack of sleep. The paleness makes her look like a ghost. It reverts back to a healthy state some days when she manages to with some miracle get a good night's sleep and after she's eaten a nutritious meal. However, since she's recovered from her ordeal in fifth year her skin is back to a permanent healthy shade.

worst fear, Meleny's main fear is her father and twin sister who enjoy making her life miserable. They both want to see her dead because she chose the opposite side. Also, Meleny fears with enough persuasian she will end up betraying everyone she cares about and turn to the dark side.

overall personality, Meleny is a very sweet and helpful person. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and is always willing to help people if they ask her for it. She's quite pleasant to be around once you get to know her. Meleny is an even tempered person but even she has bad moods sometimes. She rarely raises her voice at people and would rather calmly and logically solve a problem than rushing into a duel.Otherwise she is very calm and her usual friendly self. She can also be a bit overprotective. Another thing about Meleny is that she is fiercely loyal. Once she picks a side in something she stays loyal to that side forever. Betrayal and back stabbing is one thing she cannot stand

Meleny is emotional and sometimes isn't afraid to show she's scared, or in pain but when met with an enemy she'll try to decieve them and cover up her weaknesses which includes trying to hide the scar underneath her right eye which is the only one visible.Usually she's in control of her emotions and knows when and when not to show them but when she's scared or under stress the chain binding her emotions snaps and she becomes a total wreck.Some of these traits might label her as a HufflePuff but she is really Gryffindor. She may not be brave but she's overprotective and a bit of a martyr. She values everyone else's lives over her own. When lives are at stake she doesn't care about getting in trouble but when it isn't absolutely necessary she avoids getting in trouble as much as possible.

As of late she's become less bubbly and is extremely paranoid after her incident. She is now afraid to be alone. She's become irritable with people who start trouble with her since she's been experiencing lack of sleep both from constant nightmares. She can't go to sleep unless someone is there with her which makes her fortunate for the dormitories. At home she can't sleep by herself. Meleny used to be too quick to trust people because nothing bad had happened to her yet to enable her to see some people's true colors. Now she's careful of who she trusts and sticks close to people who she's 100% sure won't cause her any harm.

overall history, When Christina Kensington found out she was pregnant the doctor told her she was carrying twins. Along with Meleny inside the womb was another baby that would grow up to be the second person to make Meleny's life miserable. This was her twin sister Jezebel and she would eventually become Meleny's worst nightmare. Her father had named her and after Jezebel was born Meleny's life became a living hell. The last thing she needed in her life was someone else to degrade and put her down as if her father hadn't already done enough of that. The two of them were constantly at each other's throats. When she was younger, Jezebel just started out as bullying Meleny like the annoying bully at the school yard because she was 2 minutes older than her and wanted to flaunt her seniority. Basically Jezebel has a holier than thou attitude and it got worse when she discovered the Death Eaters when she got older. She came out first and the reason why Meleny is often naive and too trusting of some people is because she was born second. Later on, Jezebel found enjoyment in physically and pyschologically abusing Meleny. The reason for this because Meleny is a blood traitor and is considered a dissapointment to her father and sister because of her loyalties. She chose the Order over the death eaters. Her mother is an auror and every night she would come home with horror stories about what Voldemort is up to and the wizarding criminals she's helped catch.

When they began attending Hogwarts her sister was sorted into Slytherin and that only esclated their sibling rivarly to a higher level. They competed against each other during Quidditch matches in their second and third year. She likes to bully Meleny because she also has muggle leanings and likes to dress like one. She also defends them if she sees one being verbally tormented.

When Meleny got her letter from Hogwarts on her 11th birthday. Her mother was ecstatic and took her to diagon alley to get her things but not until her father had a word with her about the right kind of wizard folk to mingle with. She had also given her a pendant for her birthday. All her life she had been indoctrinated with pureblood superiority and to stay clear of muggle-borns and blood-traitors. Meleny ignored his lecture and left with her mother. As Meleny's hogwarts education progressed and Voldemort became more powerful, her father became suspicious when he found letters Meleny had been writing home to her mother discussing her life at Hogwarts. She had mentioned standing up for the underdog and intervening when a Slytherin called her friends the McKennas, a brother and sister from a muggle family, mudbloods and taking a course called Muggle Studies. It later dawned on her father that his own daughter was a blood traitor. That summer he beat her for betraying her heritage and not acting like a pureblood. That was where she got her first scar. After that, she ended up limping for a few days and a St Mungos healer had to come by to patch her up. She wasn't in that much bad shape to actually be sent to the hospital. She just spent a couple of days resting from her injuries.

Jezebel had heard about the letters when they returned home that summer and beat her very badly and she wasn't halfway recovered. Her father was still steaming so he helped and a few unforgivable curses were used on his part. Meleny returned for her fifth year with a black eye, bloodied, and a horrible pain in her ribs. The headmaster and her head of house were immediately notified as well as her aunt at the ministry. She was sore for a few weeks because she had been under the cruciatus curse too long. Madam Pomfrey nursed her back to health the minute she arrived at school so she didn't see the sorting ceremony that year. All that's left now is for her to recover from her injuries and see what fifth year has in store for her. She still can't do much and has a slight limp whenever she walks. She can never walk upright again because the first beating messed up her leg. The pain from the cruciatus curse lingers in intensity most times of the day. She also suffers from horrible nightmares due to these incidents. After that incident Emery was arrested by the auror department and sent to azkaban but ended up breaking out along with the other death eaters so he can continue showing his loyalties to Voldemort.

The drama did not stop for Meleny in her sixth year. Over the summer she uncovered the brtual treatment of house elves like Hermione had in their fourth year. Her father and sister tortured them behind closed doors. They had the family house elf Norman locked in the cellar when a loud sound woke her up. Apparently he had been sent there for refusing to do a job.They locked him down there any time he slipped up and said something bad about Emery or Jezebel. When she found him he was badly wounded. Her father and sister had nearly killed him. They both knew Meleny would try to help him which is why they kept him away from her at all times. Norman had been tortured with the cruciatus curse like her and had been physically beaten. He was practically on the brink of death. A live-in healer named Adele had started tending to Norman. She was sent to the house as soon as she heard about the situation. Meleny learned everything she ever wanted to know from her. It was at that moment she decided the job she wanted to do after she completed her seventh and final year after the upcoming term. However. tragedy struck when her father and sister found out Norman was moved and getting help. Adele had placed a charm on the sick room so only she, Meleny's mother, and Meleny could get in and out. Her sister and father couldn't. Trouble ensued when Jezebel used a spell her father taught her to break the spell. She attacked Meleny with help of her father and wounded the healer as soon as they got in the room because they didn't like she was in the way. The commotion brought Meleny's mother running. Her father turned his wand upon her and cast the killing curse just as Meleny yelled at her to get out of the way. Before Meleny could come up with a plan to rescue Norman she had to leave for her sixth year at Hogwarts. Earlier her aunt had heard about her sister's death so she arrived the next morning to escort Meleny to king's cross station and to plan a funeral with the other aurors at the ministry. Her aunt reported Emery to the ministry of magic and he was once again taken to azkaban where he currently resides until Voldemort decides he needs him again.

roleplay sample. Meleny woke up the day of her return to Hogwarts in extreme pain. Her father and sister had just mauled her the day before she was to leave for Hogwarts because she didn't show interest in being a death eater and she openly supported Dumbledore. She told her mother to cancel their subscription to the daily prophet because of the lies it was printing but her father liked how they were keeping things hush hush. She was under the cruciatus curse for a long period of time. Her mother had told her there was no time to take her to st mungos since she had to leave for Hogwarts the next morning. She'd told her to see Madam Pomfrey when she arrived and see if there's anything she could do for her. She had boarded the Hogwarts express still in pain and didn't have the strength to lift her trunk onto the luggage rack. She thought back to that moment on the train when Jezebel had ditched her for her fellow Slytherins and left her dragging her heavy trunk down the train's corridors to find a compartment that wasn't already full. Fortune had smiled upon her when she found her fellow Quidditch teammate Katie Bell sitting alone. Eventually two other Gryffindors she knew (Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley) also entered the same compartment along with a HufflePuff student she had never met. She knew her friends saw something was wrong with her. She lied and said it wasn't a big deal but she felt terrible about it now. Eventually they were bound to discover she was in the hospital wing since she hadn't shown up for the start of term feast. Dumbledore and McGonagall had to be fully aware of her absence by now if not tomorrow when Madam Pomfrey got up.

Now, here she was at Hogwarts lying in the hospital wing curled up in a ball late at night biting down on her lip to stop herself from crying out. Madam Pomfrey looked over her when she arrived and told her to stay overnight. Although she appeared to be in bad shape, Pomfrey didn't want to keep her from classes any longer than one night because this was her O.W.L year. She was two years away from her seventh year and N.E.W.T exams which didn't make her feel the least bit better. Studying and O.W.Ls were the last thing on her mind right now. Her father certainly did a grade A job of making her suffer. She remembered in her fourth year a Defense against the dark arts professor demonstrated the unforgiveable curses in front of the class which she thought was a pretty low thing to do. Whoever heard of a professor demonstrating the exact curses Hogwarts was supposed to be teaching defense against? Anyway, after that she had never heard of the pain of the cruciatus curse lingering. However, it was only the day after the attack so she expected to feel sore. She hoped it wouldn't last too long. The pain was sapping her energy and she needed it to study and perform magic when asked in class.

Meleny glanced up at the ceiling and tried to clear her thoughts. Besides being in pain she had a black eye she would have to hide from passersby so they didn't ask. She didn't want anyone to start talking about it or for there to be any opportunity for anyone to make her feel worse about it. She was almost afraid of the moment when Madam Pomfrey would let her out of the hospital wing so she could go to class. She knew her sister was in the Slytherin dormitories plotting ways to provoke her while she wasn't in the mood. She was probably even waiting for Quidditch, a sport that required vast amounts of energy to catch the snitch and win. However, Meleny was a Chaser and her job was to get the Quaffle into one of the three hoops in order to score a goal. She could just picture her sister purposely aiming a bludger at her like in their third year in order to provoke her. Any movement or contact seemed to make the pain worse and as sadistic as Jezebel was, she would definitely use it to her advantage.

Meleny sighed softly and looked around the dark hospital wing. She hoped someone would come visit her even if it was late. She was honestly scared to sleep alone since she had never been out of her dormitory this long. When she got in the Quidditch accident in third year, she had only been in the hospital wing for a short time. Thankfully her injuries weren't as serious as this. Jezebel had only just fractured her wrist and broke her leg and they healed within a couple of weeks.

Hours and hours went by and then it was morning. If she was not mistaken it was the first day of classes but she couldn't be sure. She had been in here all night with no contact to the outside world. She hadn't slept all night because she was in so much pain and she hated to disturb Madam Pomfrey just for one measly potion. Besides, she'd somehow survived the cruciatus curse and would be able to live to tell her story. If she could do that, maybe she could stand a few days pain.

Meleny looked up when she saw an owl flying into the hospital wing from the window. It landed on the bed and held out it's leg for her. She noticed it was her mother's owl. She smiled as she removed the letter and set it down next to her on the bed. "I wish I had a treat for you, buddy but I might be here for a while. Go back to the owlery and when I'm better I'll send a response with you to Mother. Now hurry up before Madam Pomfrey comes."she whispered quietly. As soon as she said that the owl did as it was told and went off to the owlery. She opened the letter from her mother and started to read it to herself.
