general appearance James likes to think of himself as an attractive guy, he walks around Hogwarts as if he owns it. His hair has a messy look to it, but he pulls if off with confidence. Although he is arrogant, he also has a laid back appearance. His shirt is always un tucked, he never bothers with his tie, and his mess of a hair just adds to his 'rolled out of bed' style. You might think his glasses would through off his relaxed look, but his confidence in his appearance makes up for it, no one would look at him and think of him as the nerdy type. Quidditch is a big part of his life, being a chaser he has a slim but muscular build, although not as slim as most seekers seem to be. James Potter was born into a wealthy family, his parents were rather old, even by wizarding standards. He was their only child, and having him late in life made them appreciate him even more. He grew up in a very pampered life style, which lead to him being a bit of brat as a child. As aged, this turned into more of an arrogant personality. Being spoiled, he expects to get everything he wants.
When it comes to getting things he wants, James can be very determined. If something is refused to him, he wants it even more and wont stop until he has it. This sort of leads to what appears to be an obsessive crush on Lily Evans, although it was fueled by her refusal and relationship with Severus.
James is also known around Hogwarts for his pranks with his friends, they are all a bit mischievous. He finds a thrill in trouble making, also his lack of harsh punishments fuels his thoughts that he will always get his way.
Through the years, he has toned down his attitude a bit, showing off his more positive traits. James was a Gryffindor for a reason, loyal and brave accurately describe his character, even if the only people who see this are his closest friends. overall history,
William and Audrey Potter were rather old when they finally had their son, James. They were delighted to have an addition to the family, despite being older they kept up with the little one well. James was precious and important to them, someone to carry on their name and family. Being wealthy meant they could give their son everything he wanted, pamper him as much as possible.
When James started Hogwarts his first year and quickly became friends with his three dorm mates, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin. He also almost immediately began a rivalry with Severus Snape, although James had been the one to pick on him first. Him and his friends began to pull pranks, naming themselves the Maruaders. When they discovered Remus was a Werewolf their second year, they all became unregistered Animagi, helping him through the full moons. This gave them each nicknames that only they used. Prongs(James), Padfoot(Sirius), Wormtail(Peter) and Moony(Remus).
The Maruaders constantly got into trouble, although they were rather good at not getting caught. They discovered passageways through out the castle, eventually creating the Marauders map.
James was known for playing quidditch through out Hogwarts, he was a rather good chaser and spent a lot of time practicing in the pitch. He prided himself in his flying skills, boasting and showing off at any occasion.
Although James was rather popular around Hogwarts, his arrogance didn't impress everyone. The Marauders constantly picked on Severus, although Sirius assured James that Severus was just jealous of him which fueled his dislike of James. Also, Lily Evans would constantly stick up for Severus, they were friends despite him being a Slytherin. Everything about it annoyed James, although he played if off as unimportant. Severus was a Slytherin and into the Dark Arts, there was no reason she should show him any interest. Especially befriending him and hating James.
Last year, James' Sixth year had been very eventful. Sirius had attempting to pull a prank on the Severus, involving sending him to Remus during a full moon. James stepped in and saved the Slytherin despite their hatred, he didn't want anyone getting seriously hurt. This showed James' caring side, although it only made Severus angry. Also, Sirius moved in with the Potter's after leaving his family.
This year James has been appointed head boy, despite all the trouble him and his friends caused over the years. He is still his usually arrogant self, although he doesn't pick on everyone as much, just Snape. His biggest goal though, convince Lily Evans to go out with him. Her lack of interest in him has drove him crazy for years, he could have any girl except her. This is really his last chance, their last year at Hogwarts. She may think of him as just a jerk, but he knows he's much more than that. What started out as just an urge to prove he could make Evans want him, has turned into a real interest in her. He's recently noticed how beautiful, brilliant and caring she really is.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Lani modified the uniform only in the sense that she attempted to keep the skirt as long as possibly, even if it was an awkward and nerdy length, it was better than super short. She really couldn't stand these stupid uniforms, they made her uncomfortable in a number of ways, she hated wearing them and she hated girls running around with the skirts super short. Actually, it was how much she didn't hate the girls running around with the uniform a little more slutty that bothered her the most. She really hated when she checked girls out, but she couldn't help it, her mind just automatically did it, her eyes moving over them. It wasn't fair, why couldn't she just be normal, like her parents wanted. She couldn't help the tiny sigh that escaped her lips at the thought.
When the girl said she had wanted company, Lani bit her lip nervously, before slowly walking into the room. She cautiously moved to sit on the couch that now had space, setting her sketch book down on the table and smoothing out her skirt, scared that it would go up. She began picking at the bottom of it, needing something to do with her hands out of nerves. Although, this girl didn't seem to mind about hers, it was very short. Originally Lani had thought it had gone up when the girl layed down, but even when she sat up it was very short. She figured it would be weird if she just stayed quiet, so she turned to the girl, making sure to look at her face and only her face.
"I'm Lailani, or just Lani," she introduced herself softly, putting on a small smile. The girl seemed nice of course, but that didn't make Lani feel anymore comfortable. She was very shy around anyone, but she was even more nervous around this girl because she was trying very very hard to not check her out. God forbid the girl noticed her doing it, that would be so embarrassing, not to mention she'd probably get freaked out by it. Even though she wasn't checking her out, she did notice that the girl was pretty. She seemed like a typical girl here though, shortening her skirt, putting on a make-up. It wasn't all bad, as said before it was hard for her not to check girls out around here, but if this girl was a lot like them, then she might be very superficial. Lani didn't like girls like that, who only cared about their looks and shopping, they were so annoying.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
