the appearance

hair color, golden blonde.
eye color, clear blue.
height, five feet and six inches.
weight, one hundred and ten pounds.
general appearance It’s undeniable that Callista is beautiful, the veela blood that run in her veins makes it so. Just as her mother and grandmother before her, her hair is a long, lustrous dark gold, and curls delightfully at the ends. As is custom, her eyes are a clear, sparkling blue, that are both hypnotic and enchanting. Everything about her is curved delicately, from her eyebrows, to her breast, to her slim waist, rounded hips and bum, to her sculpted legs. Looking at her you’d be able to tell exactly what veelas were made to do; seduce. Her father’s blood, however, has stunted her at average height, and given her oddly shaped toes, which she hates, but the rest of her comes purely from her mother.
Everything about Callista is sophisticated and classy. You’ll never see her wearing a pair of ripped jeans or sweatpants in public, because that simply isn’t done with her. Most of her wardrobe consists of top of the line dresses, skirts, and tailored pants. She adores jewelry and fashion, and will always be seen wearing something of perfect design and high quality.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
WHEN YOU REACH FOR ME
the personality
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
likes, her veela blood, getting what she wants, meddling in other people's business, days she can sleep in, jewellery, fashion, shopping, just pretty things in general, gossip, gifts, lace, gorgeous boys, sex, flirting, using her beauty to get what she wants, being complimented, silk, getting attention, romance, fairytales, leather, people who give her things, etc.
dislikes, being told 'no' or 'don't', rain, people who show her up, being told what to do, being kept out of the loop, when people keep things from her, classes, homework, school in general, losing attention, halfbloods, mudbloods, other houses, disobedience, pointless and long stories, getting dirty, crude language, butterbeer, etc.
strengths, persuasive, determined, seductive, respectful, informed, driven, loyal to her friends and house, getting people to tell her things, nice sense of humour, very well mannered, eloquent, cunning, reserved, etc.
weaknesses, naive, jealous, vain, proud, shallow, follows the strongest leader, doesn't make her own decisions, daft, fickle, self-centered, terrible at school, etc.
worst fear, Callista absolutely fears getting older. She'd love to stay young and beautiful for as long as she can, and although that time will last longer for her because she's part-veela, she does not want to have to think about aging and losing one of the few things she's good at.
boggart, At the first and only family reunion for the vela part of her family, one of Callista’s cousins, a full veela, told her that her feet looked funny and that her nose resembled that of a big. She spent the rest of the day crying to her mother, while her cousin was swiftly taught her lesson by Callista’s father.
amortenia, roses, cinnamon, chocolate, men's cologne, candles, sex, etc.
sexuality, straight as a rod, but she isn't opposed to using seduction on girls and women to get what she wants.
overall personality,
From the moment she was born, Callista was doted upon by her parents. They never hesitated to give her anything in the world that she wanted, and if they did, she’d whine and pout until she got it, or she’d simply convince them to give it to her. Callista absolutely abhors being told no, or when people don’t give her something she wants, and she’ll do anything to get what she wants. Usually, her pretty face will get her almost anything, but when it doesn’t she’ll resort to verbal tactics, and that usually does the trick. Yes, from the moment Callista could speak she’d been good with words. Her mother had once said that she could convince someone that the sky was green if she’d been given enough time to formulate her arguments, which she wouldn’t because that would be useless. She may be good with her words, but she definitely isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. She manages to get by in her classes with clever wording and in some cases, outright cheating. She’s determined to graduate and refuses to stay one more year in Hogwarts, and will do anything to make it so.
Very early on, Callista realized that she was beautiful, and that it could be a great asset to her, as she didn’t have many others. Her mother always put a lot of importance to looking good, and feeling pride in what she was and how she appeared. Callista is very vain, and takes quite a bit of pride in her appearance. It’s one of the most important things to her. Likewise, she likes very few things that are ugly, and everything around her must also be beautiful. She has quite the complex, and won’t speak to people that she deems beneath her, whether it’s because of looks or blood. The belief that she’s better than most was instilled in her at a very young age, and it’s one of the few things that she will not change her mind about.
Alas, Callista has a very weak mind, or a very keen one, depending on how you perceive things. Having always had her parents around to make her decisions, Callista can’t make them on her own. She lets other people decide things for her, and goes with what they say. She always allies herself with the strongest leader available, knowing that they will keep her in the right direction and entertained. This leader that she follows will have all of her, and her endless loyalty, until that is, someone stronger comes along. She’s fickle in these ways, but they seem to do her well as of yet. She likes to know all the goings on of the school, and is quite the gossiper. When someone tries to keep something from her, she'll use whatever means necessary to get it out of them. Callista may not be the brightest, but she knows what she has to do to survive.
Like most girls her age, Callista dreams of love. Or rather of marriage. Her parents always told her the stories of how her father was completely captivated by her mother when she began walking down the aisle, and of how well their marriage turned out for the both of them. Her father was endlessly devoted to her mother, and worshipped the ground she walked on. Callista dreams of this kind of fairytale; a strong, protective man who’ll keep her safe, worship her, and always let her know how beautiful she is.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

overall history,
When Kallisto Megallos had been informed of her impending arranged marriage to Marius Riverton, she knew exactly what she was going to do; get this marriage to work no matter what. Or at least, get it to work in her favour. She’d have this boy wrapped around her finger from the moment he saw her, and he’d give her everything she wanted. Which was exactly what happened when she took her first steps down the aisle. Marius was immediately smitten with the blonde beauty that was to become his wife in mere moments. She was beautiful, tall, blonde and thin, with a radiant smile that was barely obstructed by the veil that fell over her face. It wasn’t love, and it would never be, but it was good enough for Kallisto. The man ended up doing everything she wanted, and she was quite pleased with her success. She could live like this.
She thought her life was over, however, the day she realized she was pregnant. Long gone were the days of extravagant parties, corsets that thinned her already tiny waist, drinking until the wine flowed out of her ears, and, Merlin forbid, she was going to lose her wonderful figure! Out. She wanted out of this mother thing as soon as possible. When she went to Marius to tell him of her plan, she didn’t let everything out at once, and the only thing he heard was ‘baby’ and he leaped for joy, spinning her around madly in a circle in the middle of his study. Kallisto was torn for all of two seconds; she could get rid of the baby and disappoint the man who had given her everything, or she could do this one thing for him and finally be able to give him something. Okay, it was more like two hours, but eventually she made her decision, and spent nine months carrying another person in her womb. Which quite disgusted her, if you ever ask.
The day that Callista was born was the absolute worse of Kallisto’s life, but it brightened considerably when she finally held her little girl in her arms and saw herself in that sweet little face. From the moment Callista was born she became her parents’ world. If she cried, they were there. If she smiled, they were smiling with her. If she wanted something, they gave it to her, within reason, and if it wasn’t, eventually they’d give in. Calli lived a plush, cushy lifestyle, always being praised for her looks and quick learning of the English language. Everything was on a silver platter, and she quite liked it that way.
It was mid-June that Callista was nearly attacked by an owl as she was walking in the garden in the backyard. She’d never liked those dumb things, and had had to fall to her knees to keep the thing from flying directly into her face. It didn’t bear any better new either. She was going to be separated from her comfortable home starting in September, only to come back during summers and holidays, for the next seven years. For weeks Callista cried and pouted, saying that she didn’t want to go to the stupid school, she didn’t want to leave her home, and for a while, her parents actually considered keeping her home and schooling her themselves, but when it came down to it, Callista’s cousin was going to start her first year also, but at Beauxbatons, and Callista wasn’t going to be beaten out by that little snob. Besides, she got to go shopping for new robes.
The Hogwarts Express was much more crowded and dirty than Callista would have wanted, but she endured it, even if over half of the students aboard weren’t up to par with her, and were dirty themselves. She managed to avoid all halfbloods and mudbloods, finding a small niche of first year purebloods to sit with for the ride. She was endlessly thankful for that; she didn’t want those disgusting things near her.
She wasn’t so lucky for the rest of her years at Hogwarts. She’d been placed in Slytherin; the family house. And although her father had assured her she wouldn’t have to associate with those beneath her, there were halfbloods in her house, and she didn’t like it one bit. A quick glare and a raising of her nose would usually keep them at bay, and it’s worked for the last six years. Hopefully her tactics stand true for the next year, despite the arrival of these transfer students.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
