Severus wants allies, not friends, Merlin forbid. "Friend" is such a Gryffindor word. He'll suck up to any aspiring Death Eater if he thinks it will get him where he wants to be; that is, within the circle of Death Eaters himself. So, if you're rich, powerful, or both, then you're friends already. If you are in need of a potion, you have come to the right place, as long as you're willing to pay. Occasionally, there will be a student that he doesn't mind spending time with, but he makes it clear that his loyalties will always lie with himself.

James Potter and his merry band of fools are at the top of the list. That lot has been bad news to him since the day he arrived at Hogwarts, tormenting him daily, not to mention nearly having him mauled by a werewolf. If you're Gryffindor, stupid, or just an idiotic do-gooder you are automatically not worth his time. And if you stab him in the back... you're bound to eventually find a knife in yours as well.

Severus is currently pining after Lily Evans, but seeing as that's probably a pipe dream? He'll take what he can get. Having never dated, he's not all that experienced in the love department, but there's no way he'll ever let you know that. Severus is in no mood for serious relationships, since they are likely to hold him back from achieving his ambitions.

So, I am under the strangest impression that women do not run to houses of men they do not like or trust begging for help protecting their family. Therefore, I would venture to say that 90's 'Cissa and Severus have some sort of amiable/alliance like relationship going on. And I'd probably assume that began back at Hogwarts- if you'd like.

Now, we just need to figure out how/why/what/when? ahaha. Ideas?

There would be enough disdain there for him to sneer at her every once in a while, but mostly she would just be unimportant since she would have nothing to do with the DE hierarchy.

Anyways! I totally agree, though I'm not sure what she would approach him about. There's always her complete failure to understand potions, which anyone with half an understanding of the subject would be able to help her with. Of course, she could also confide in him about Lucius, though with us no longer having a young one I'm not quite sure where you think Luc & Sev would be at.

Weeelll, it occurs to me that since Lucius is disinterested in her, but arguably has a great deal of interest in Severus, she may have initially befriended Severus to get to Lucius, in this situation. [/ramble] But aside from that, perhaps she can ask for help with terrorizing big Luci? I read the whole thread you guys had (cuz I was bored xD) and maybe she wants to get back at Lucius-who-she-does-not-know-is-Lucius? Severus isn't above causing trouble, especially with these "transfers". Why, this Professor Cadmus is hardly a professor at all, is he? ;)

I like that. A lot. She's willing to do anything to get him (and to stop whatever non-Narcissa action he may or may not be getting, depending on how/when/who we get a new Lucius from). And then, of course, she'll tell everyone later on in life just how Severus helped them come together and have TOTALLY ROMANTIC LOVE 4EVER. :D

Alice is a very close friend to Lily. She always has Lily's back. She would have a huge grudge against Snape for what he did to Lily. How he called her mudblood. She lost all respect for him, if she ever had any. If Lily and Severus ever happen to forgive and forget or anything like that Alice would still not trust him. She would warn Lily to be careful around him and such. So I see a dislike between the. add/subtract/modify?

Yeah, definitely some serious dislike here. Gryffindor/prefect/friendly with Lily is not a good combination for him. He's kind of one of those people that likes to have his friends all to himself. Lily's having other friends irritated him already, but, since their falling out, his jealousy is pretty much tenfold. Being as close to Lily as she is... that doesn't bode well for her, I'm afraid. xD
