Damn! Was it really four in the morning? This not sleeping thing was going to eventually catch up with him. He was sure of it, especially since his eyes were already starting to droop and his entire body was feeling the effects of his thirty-two hour period of not sleeping. He had no excuse, actually. He had been sitting in his bed for the passed six hours, curtains drawn, not bothered by a soul. Occasionally he thought he heard Remus shifting around in the bed not too far away from his own. He never did sleep well after the transformation, but by now, Sirius had abandoned the thought that there was anything more he could do for his afflicted friend. If there was, he'd do it in a heartbeat... But aside from what had already been done... He preferred not to dwell on it. It made him feel useless and helpless. Two things he did not like at all, especially when lumped in there with extreme exhaustion.
He set his wand down, the light from his Lumos spell fading quickly, and he rubbed his tired eyes. The book he'd been reading fell to his side and he sank into the pillow, closing his eyes and hoping that sleep would finally take him. Not unexpectedly, his thoughts began to stray, going in one thousand different directions and he just couldn't get himself to go blank. Immediately he grew envious of his sleeping dorm mates... Most had fallen asleep before one. Some sooner than that.
Ah, to hell with it
he muttered to himself, tossing his blanket off and pulling his curtain open. In retrospect, he probably should have been more quiet when doing so, because as he stepped out, he could see the disgruntled expression of James looking directly at him, his hazel eyes illuminated by the pale glow of the moonlight. Sorry, Prongs. Couldn't sleep. Sirius left the dormitory and walked down to the lounge. There was no one in sight, the quickly walked to the red leather couch and took a seat looking into the fire.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Wearing: Click!Tag: Harry! Comments: Oh hey. :P

Harry hadn't been having the greatest night. All he could think about was getting back, James, and Lily. Remus was still alive in Harry's time so he didn't really make it a big point to meet and spend time with him, though it was still welcome. He didn't make any noise but he was tossing and turning trying to get some sleep. The most he had gotten was a good hour or two that night. His thoughts swam around like the winds, never going the same way and sometimes changing rapidly.
Harry finally got up and headed down to the lounge area, where he met Lily a while back, wanting to stare into the fire like he had done on other restless nights. Sometimes he didn't want to sleep, fearing the connection he and Voldemort felt, but now he didn't really dream of Voldemort, but of what might happen, and Sirius dying.
Harry headed down the stair quietly, hoping not to wake anyone up. He was sure that before this he heard some talking, and a few footsteps. He looked around the room making sure it was empty, a habit he was used to when he was going to talk with Sirius through the fire in his time. He noticed a person sitting on the couch looking at the fire in the fireplace. Harry neared closer and soon recognized him as Sirius Black. He stood there for a second and then approached Sirius.
"Sirius? What are you doing up at a time like this," Harry asked wearing a grin. Little did Sirius know, but Harry already knew him quite well, at least as an adult.

The time seemed to be dragging on and on, like the worst day of his entire life. The warmth of the fire was relaxing and calming him down. It was the fact that Sirius was tired of having the same dream over and over. It was the worst thing that has happened in his life, or it was something he feared more than anything. A clock seemed to constantly mock him, as it showed 4:15 in the wee hours of the morning. At least it was a Friday night, meaning no classes for Sirius to sleep though and get in trouble once again with Lily and Remus. Sirius' ears perked up as he began hearing the soft sound of footsteps coming from the stone stairs behind him.
Sirius looked over his shoulder, and pulled some strains of hair away from his eyes to get a better look at who was coming down the stairs. It was none other than Harry Potter, James' cousin. He looked at the boy with a concerned look upon his face. Couldn't sleep either, Harry?
he said with a calm voice, not wanting to wake anyone else up and causing a riot in the common room. Time and time again Sirius would be the one waking up early or not sleeping at all. It was not uncommon for Sirius to be in the lounge until the wee hours of the morning. Whether he just couldn't sleep or he was getting his homework done at the very last minute. I could ask you the very same thing, Mr. Potter He grinned at Harry when he spoke. Sirius began to wonder why Harry was up so early or late depending on how you look at it. Harry came closer to Sirius, but not too close to make him think something was up or something. It was like a blast from the past. When he saw the curse hitting Sirius months ago, he thought he never would see him again. Well life showed him never to assumed anything. Harry smiled and watched Sirius. Harry of course was used to sleepless nights, though that didn't stop him from sleeping through History of Magic, but at least he was used to being tired and doing ok when tired.
"Nope, been thinking too much," Harry replied smiling. Sirius was a great person, and if this version of him, liked him or disliked him it wouldn't change Harry's opinion. He wanted to burst out with the whole truth, but knew Sirius probably would think it was a sick joke or some kind of joke to be funny. Harry knew he wouldn't do it, knowing the consequences of the actions, but he felt it would be so much easier.
"Oh you know me, just going to make some toilets explode and flood the dungeons," Harry replied joking of course. He really wasn't one to go play pranks on people, but the Weasley Twins seemed to pull that side out of him, especially if he wasn't doing something important, like with the swamp thing last year. He always got a kick out of it, but really it would surprise someone if he flooded the dungeons.

Sirius continued to watch the clock and Harry at the same time, without having Harry notice he was constantly checking the time. It was amazing how much Harry looked like his best friend James, family does pass down genes but it was scary how much they looked alike. Sirius looked at Harry again with a smile. What have you been thinking about so much to keep you awake at night?
His voice remained calm, yet a little concerned about him and him not sleeping. He continued to look at Harry, wondering what was on his mind. It was obviously something serious, but Padfoot kept his mouth shut and changed the topic quickly. He smiled at the idea to blow up the toilets in the dungeons. It was like he had just read his mind. Overflowing the toilets in the dungeons would lead to the Slytherin common room and causing all sorts of hell in there. A smirk crossed his lips, for he was developing an idea to mess with the Slytherin's even more and this idea was pure gold. Say Harry, how about we go about doing this prank together? It sounds too good to pass up [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Wearing: Click!Tag: Harry! Comments: Short post, sorry. D:

Harry knew he could trust Sirius, even if Sirius could not yet trust him, but what was on his mind couldn't be shared with the people from this time, no matter how much he wanted to. The timeline of his would, or at least could be completely destroyed, and Harry knew that wouldn't be a good thing, and completely unpredictable. He liked being born thank you very much.
"It's nothing of too great importance, I'm used to sleep deprivation," Harry answered. At least he didn't have to tell too many lies, there were probably many halfbloods, and a few parentless at the hands of Voldemort already, so he could at least be vague about it. Sirius needn't know that Harry was James' son and all that he said about his parents happened to James or anything. If they were discovered as future people, he would just say he lied or something.
"I would love to blow up some toilets with one of the masters of pranking," Harry laughed. Sirius, well the older one, told him enough of his Hogwarts years that he knew that the marauders were some of the more pranky like people, almost like if you doubled the twins, made one smarter, and one a coward. That was pretty cool to imagine, and with his own blood in the group too, and his own god blood too.

Despite only meting Harry Potter a few weeks ago, Sirius was under the idea that he could trust him, just like he trusts his second cousin; James. It must be a Potter sort of thing for Sirius to wrap his head around, finally having someone to trust with anything and everything. Sirius only had two really good friends, Remus Lupin and James Potter, naturally. It was getting on his nerves that everyone had the story about him wrong. The Black Family was only concerned about being pureblooded and being a Slytherin. Never did the idea of having friendship or success in life appear. Sirius sighed and looked back at Harry with his gray eyes.
I know the feeling all too well, my boy
Sirius was tired of the sleepless nights where he would have nightmares of a rebellion rising and losing his friends to the battles ahead. He hated waking up James to tell him what he was seeing inside his mind, and James would just throw a pillow at him and tell him to cork it and sleep. If only it were that easy to forgive and forget. We can cause havoc anytime we want to! Sirius smirked and laughed a little after he spoke. Pranking was his way to relax, and see others misfortunes. However he had been told time and time again that he was needed to grow up and mature or he would be alone for the rest of his life. That was not something Sirius liked hearing. Just looking into the grey eyes of Sirius was good enough for Harry. They were unmistakable and practically unchanged from the man he knew. Harry just smiled, even though the man Harry knew wasn't the same as the teen in front of him, who was a year older than him. Sirius had changed over the years, but who didn't? Either way, Harry knew he would like both versions of the Black. Won't Sirius be surprised when he meets Harry in the future? Of course he might have a different name, though he hoped that maybe if Lily was planning on changing his name, then he would try to convince her to keep it the same, since he loved his name, even with the hero worship it came with (which he hated).
"Usually just horrible nightmares of what is to come," Harry sighed. In his time at least what is to come there, Voldemort killing everyone he loved, and even in this time, his parents, Sirius, and even Cedric still. No one seemed to care much, except Ron and Hermione, who weren't much help to him. Dumbkedore was too busy to deal with things like that, last year he was away and never talked, and this year everything he said was all business, and then this crazy thing happened which made him come back. Sometimes he just wanted to wake up and find he was just dreaming all of this up.
"I would love that Sirius!" Harry laughed quietly, making sure he wasn't being too loud to wake up others given the hour. Harry wasn't worried what he would be doing for the rest of his life, he just focused on surviving it. And he was sure that he would be going back to his own time. So he wasn't going to make too many plans to stay here, get married and have a family.

Sirius continued to watch Harry intently, it was just so amazing how he would act just like James, and even looked identical to him. He shook his head to get him mind off of that idea, there was a reason for their similar traits; they were cousins. No more questions were asked about that topic, he looked the other way and yawned a little. He covered his mouth with his right had to block the yawn from becoming to attention worthy. He then removed his hand and looked at Harry once again.
A nightmare of what is to come? What have you been seeing at night?
He was curious, was Harry part seer? Sirius was very interested in what Harry was going to say about his nightmares, hopefully Sirius was not involved in anyway. Sirius would always have the same dream, reliving the night he was banished from the House of Black. He didnt seem to care very much about it, because he was now living his life the way he wanted without any rules or limitations on his abilities. Sirius smiled when Harry said he would love to go on a prank raid sometime. It was perfect, the two would develop a stronger friendship over the art of pranking. Sirius and Harry were going to be the best of friends; along with James in the picture of course. The three of them would be unstoppable. James had a rough time sleeping tonight. Maybe it was the heat of the blankets or the thoughts of someone running hogwarts stealing his face. How come his parents never told him about this second cousin he hand that was a Potter. Wouldn't he have met them at some sort of family function? The kid looked like he could have been his twin. Unfortunately the night James had met Harry scared the bollocks out of the poor boy. He stopped to look around and thought he was looking in a giant mirror. Why was someone running around Hogwarts acting like him, and 'drinking' that polyjuice potion. That stuff was so absolutely disgusting. He couldn't wrap his head around any of it, he saw the kid in the hallway, and in classes. But James being James tended to forget about him, until he ran into him. He was so in a daze about Lily, and the relationship she seemed to have with that slytherin coward. The thought made James sick to his stomach.
Unbeknownst to him, Sirius was having just about the same situation of the sleepless night in the bed on the other side of the room. He rolled in his bed slightly, only jumping a couple feet hearing the book drop to the floor. James would rather be shot then study. He would hate to even have to crack a book if it meant he was going to get a bookworm reputation. Unfortunately the boy threw open his curtains to glare back at the boy with his tired eyes. Glasses thrown to the side of his bed post. He grunted and basically threw the curtains back shut hoping, he'd be able to go back to sleep. Time passing as if he was sitting in an hour glass waiting to be drowned in the sand. He rolled over a couple times, before deciding it was time to get up. He got up, walking through the dorms, hearing his feet shuffling on the floor as he made his way down to the common room upon hearing his friend say they needed to go blow up some toliets.
"Planning on going out without me?" he asked placing those large coke glass bottom glasses against his eyes. The boy didn't want to miss out on good pranks. Even though being headboy would probably be to his benefit being out of bed. He could claim he was checking the hallways for strays. Ah well, James was all in for pranks. But he glanced at Sirius, before his eyes finally fell on the boy who claimed he was his second cousin. James was quite confused on that whole part. "Hello face stealer and padfoot." he stated plopping onto the arm of a rather large chair. James was still not used to the fact there was someone in Gryffindor that looked just like him. Maybe he was planning to steal his mantourage who knew. He still didn't know if he could trust this person. Not with everything going on outside of Hogwarts that was for sure, and Snape moving in to steal his woman. "Evening..planning on leaving the common room at this hour of the night?" he muttered in a rather authorative voice, his voice snearing in a bit of fake sarcasm that would have sounded like an impersonation of Severus, pointing it in the boys direction and glanced around with a smirk now playing on his face. "Why is everyone up right now?" he couldn't even begin to wonder why Harry was up. He knew Sirius was probably on the same rush that he was. He yawned, stretched and glared back in a blur at the boys also in the common room. "What's happening?" he muttered hoping he didn't ruin their plans of fun for the night.
It was almost by a rather untrained hand that James hand went through his hair. It was already messed up from being a sleep, but he continued to mess it up, to the point that he looked as though he'd sent himself into a bad hex with his hair standing up all over the place. He thought the look made him handsome, and hell if he was going to into Evans, he wanted too look dashing in his awesome PJS. Wait.. were they really going out in PJS? He really couldn't careless. "I really hope the both of you didn't wake Evans up, if she's in here. She'll come down here, and try to get us all detetion for trying to sneak out. There's only so much I can do to keep her distracted." he stated with a rather tired, but playful smile. James was to much even for himself. James had shaken his head a bit at his friend, "The both of you know, that walking the hallways at night are completely off limits to students. Unless you're a goodie snivvel tight knickered slytherin with an all night hallpass." he grumbled under his breath. James was sour when it came to Lily being taken to a greasey haired git.

"It's... It's nothing really. Probably just my imagination," Harry sighed. He knew it wasn't. He was reliving his parent's, Sirius' and Cedric's death, which was to come at this time at least. And the frightening thought came to him a few times. The final battle between him and Voldemort. He was afraid he would die and fail the whole world, muggle and wizard alike. His parent's sacrifice would be for nothing. Sirius' sacrifice would be for nothing. Harry refused to believe it. And he would try his best, if they really were stuck here forever in this new universe, or time, to save Sirius. Even take his place if he had to.
Harry looked over to the new arrival, and smiled. James. It was his father. His real father. The man who was his father. Harry calmed his thoughts. It wasn't everyday he would meet his parents, alive and well. He met with Lily earlier and had a pretty good meet, and hope his meet with James would be just as good.
He had to admit, James looked a lot like him. It made sense why people thought he was James, which he didn't mind, though he cursed it, thinking that it impeded Harry's hope to snuggle into their group, and actually be friends with the ones he loved so dearly. He doubted he would get in on the super group, but Harry still wanted to be friends with them, as he did with the two alive and honorable Marauders of his time.
"My name is Harry," Harry commented, hoping he wouldn't be known as the face stealer for awhile. Harry had been thinking how he could explain how James never knew of him. Basically he planned it out to be somewhat simple and hopefully believable if he ever had to explain it. If they were found out, then Harry would explain how he had to make something up. Hopefully that would never happen. "Nightmares and blowing up toilets," Harry simply replied, not feeling really tired at the moment. He trusted James, even if he didn't trust him. He was his father, and from all the stories he heard, an amazing wizard. It was amazing he would have the honor of meeting his father, not through a mirror, or in his head.
Harry tried to ignore James' little hand mess up hair trick, that reminding of his little adventure with Snape. He was disgusted how his father acted, but at the same time... well he wasn't sure. James was suppose to be a great wizard and one act on his part didn't make him not. Plus Sirius was a great wizard and so was Remus, making him think they were like Ron and Hermione. Unluckily for Remus, he was Hermione. That thought almost made him laugh, though he tucked it inside. "Evans I don't think is awake yet," Harry said thinking of nothing else to say. He could only do so much to distract her? That made him think that maybe they were together, or at least in a sort of stage before dating. That made him feel better about being born. He hoped that they would take his name at least, so he would still be Harry James Potter, because it would be really weird seeing himself with any other name. "Or if you have the means to make yourself invisible," Harry replied knowing that James and his friends had a few night time raids as their little pranking selves, with James' cloak. Though Harry wouldn't have an explanation of how he knew he had it, so he didn't really do anything but hint.
