Rabastan Cassian Lestrange had received a letter from his father a couple of days ago, about business that Rodolphus and him were in charge of. Needless to say he needed to speak to his older brother about the whole matter. The other night while in the common room he sat there observing, as always, and couldn't help but notice how close Bellatrix had become to Rodolphus. It disturbed the younger brother to an extent. He was not scared of the elder Black sister, but he was worried that Rodolphus was giving her too much information. That perhaps his older brother was going just a little bit...soft?
Rabastan shook his head as he watched the owls go in and out of the owlery. He had let Rodolphus know that this was where they would meet to discuss their matters. It was much needed for them to get down to what was really going on. For, Rabastan didn't know how to take care of this whole matter by himself. He knew that it was more than just recruitment of most of the Slytherins at Hogwarts. Perhpas Rodolphus knew more than he did.
Why would Rodolphus know more than he did? Just the thought of it disturbed him, they never kept anything from each other. Rabastan and Rodolphus were so close that they almost shared the same thoughts at times. They were always there for each other, why would Rodolphus hide something from him? He sighed a little and heard the door to the owlery open. Glancing over he watched Rodolphus come and stand beside him. "Good evening, Rodolphus. I do believe we have some matters to discuss." Rabastan spoke. Might as well get straight to the point.

Woah, Mona Lisa, I'd pay to see you frown He senses something, call it desperation Another dollar, another day And if she had the proper words to say, ( She would tell him But she'd have nothing left to sell him --------------- ! ) Rodolphus was growing tired from all the waiting. First of all, Bellatrix Black and set off his final nerve and he was finally going to do something about it. Their meeting in the forest was still fresh in his head, and the memories would not easily wash away. He followed wherever his feet were carrying him to, from the looks of it, it was the owlery. It was possible that Rabastan was just now checking for the owl from father. Nevertheless, he began walking up the stone stairs leading up to the owlery.
Out of the corner of his eye, there he was. Standing near the corner, as usual. Ever since father had stopped the usual beatings, Rabastan would always stand aside and out of the way. It did not bother Rodolphus very much, for he only wanted to protect his brother by any means. His eyes lit up once Rabastan had spoke. Hello Rodolphus his voice was calm and low, as it usually was whenever they had spoken about important manners. His eyes scanned the room for a sign of other students, then he spoke Rabastan, always good to see my little brother.
His emerald eyes watched his brother very carefully, as if something was flowing through Rabastan's head. A few moments past and Rodolphus broke his eye contact with his brother, now looking out one of the windows covered in owl droppings. Owls were one of his favorite animals, he never knew why he liked them so much, probably for their dependent nature. Rabastan obviously had something on his mind, it had better not be about Bellatrix or anything remotely close to that topic, or Rodolphus would not be very happy. The first phase has been completed, on time. Regulus Black has been accepted into the Death Eaters last night his eyes never left Rabastan for an instant as he had spoken these words. The Lestrange brothers were often competitive with one another, but it aided the Death Eaters for competing to gain more followers.

Rabastan stood in the back corner, that's where he could observe his surroundings at best. He was more of a background type of person, that's how he obtained so much information, and knew so much about everyone else. Just by observing he could tell exactly how that person was within minutes. It was in his nature to be a silent killer, it made everything a bit more...interesting. Oh, how he loved to just emerge from the shadows and strike, it was more of a thrill to see the fear in their eyes from his sudden appearance...rather than the jump in head first tactic.
"Whatever is bothering you, Rodolphus, it shows." Was the first thing out of Rabastan's mouth, just looking at his brother he could tell. He was carrying himself differently...it was Bellatrix Black that was doing this to him. He knew it, he always carried himself very prominently, but when he walked up to him. It was as if his prominence was faded, he was stressed. "No need to talk about it though, I'm sure you're getting whatever it is taken care of." He smirked lightly, he was provoking him a little. Rabastan couldn't help himself, it's just how he was...and when Rabastan began to notice things it was only a matter of time everyone else would take note on it too.
Rabastan's ears perked a little at the sound of Regulus joining. "Regulus Black. How did you manage that so quickly? I know he's been on the fence for some time now." He asked his brother. Then he moved onto asking, "Where do we go from here, Rodolphus?" He looked out onto the grounds for a moments watching the owls flying in and out of the owlery. "Elijah Jammison is a good candidate, especially with the drama of his blood traitor sister. What a shame." He frowned slightly. "She had such potential and she had to go and ruin it." He shook his head and smirked. "Oh, well, we'll reel her brother in. Give their family some pride back."
(Blehhh, this was awful lol sorry!)

Woah, Mona Lisa, I'd pay to see you frown He senses something, call it desperation Another dollar, another day And if she had the proper words to say, ( She would tell him But she'd have nothing left to sell him --------------- ! ) Rodolphus was very aware of what his brother was plotting; it was not hard to see it. Ever since the brothers were young, they always shared a strange connection. It was as if they were reading one another’s thoughts. This was yet another one of these strange occurrences. He would merely just smirk and let the situation run its course, but this time it was personal. Well, it seems you can see right through me, as usual he said calmly while he folding his arms across his chest. Rodolphus was rather annoyed at Rabastan for interfering with his thoughts and feelings, but Rab was never the one to stop when he was a head.
It was that bloody Black girl that was constantly on his mind, whatever he thought was happening between the two of them obviously was never going to happen; he needed to get that idea out of his head. He glanced away from the open window, starring at his brother with his arms still crossed over his chest. It has been taken care of, Rabastan. No longer shall Bellatrix’s existence haunt my mind he spoke softly and his eyes never moved from watched Rabastan. Never would his brother understand what he was going through, but it was always business over pleasure with the Lestrange clan. Work always came first, it was evident in the way Renault treated his children after work.
After he had spoken about Regulus finally joining them, he couldn’t help but smirk. It took a long time of finally getting the boy convinced, at least one name would bring pride back to the Black name. It was easier said than done. That boy kept blabbering on about that bloody Jammison girl after he had spoken he cringed at the sound of her name. It was disgusting how a pureblooded girl of all people would stain their family’s name by dating a blood traitor. The thought of having Elijah joining the Death Eaters had never occurred to him, he immediately enjoyed the idea of having him join. Excellent idea, Rabastan. It will be your task to gain his allegiance. Do not fail me his eyes watched his brother very closely, for he knew Rab would follow through with any task he was given.

Needless to say Rabastan knew Rodolphus like the back of his hand. Every move that he made, he knew ten seconds ahead of when he did it, the feelings he had he knew...it was almost a little scary that Rabastan was that observant to know how most of the Slytherins ticked in the castle. "You are my brother, Rodolphus." Need he remind him that they were blood? Of course he could see right through him. He couldn't hide it from him of all people.
"Let's hope not." Were the only words out of his mouth on the Bellatrix issue. She was far too cocky, far too easily provoked, and she was reckless. That was all that Rodolphus needed. Yes, she was a faithful servant, yes, she was a damn good fighter, but at the same time she was too predictable. It wasn't that Rabastan didn't like her or approve of his brother's choice in the woman. They would make a dangerous couple...it was almost alarming how dangerous they could be. He just didn't want Rodolphus to get distracted with their efforts.
Rabastan smirked and shook his head, "So much potential in that girl, to be wasted. That poor family...let's hope they dispose of her." He would hate to have to dispose of such great potential himself, but if it was necessary he would. That's all that was needed was a sworn in Death Eater to be turning on them, spilling their secrets. It sickened him really. "It should be easy. Just have his sister's faults pulled on him as well. The girl is making our job almost too easy." He chuckled sinisterly. It was the truth, she pushed Regulus over the edge and she would do the same for her brother too.
