Rodolphus Lestrange stared at the ceiling out of bored emerald green eyes. He hadn't been able to sleep at all unless he took sleeping pills and tonight he didn't feel like doing that because, in all truth, Rodolphus Lestrange was wide awake. He didn't seem to want to go to sleep. It was probably the 3 hour nap he had taken earlier after taken some sleeping pills that prevented the black haired Slytherin from sleeping.
Sighing he slew the covers off of him revealing his tan and muscular chest has well has his six pack and the black silk boxer's he wore. Rodolphus had gotten the habit of sleeping in only boxer's from his father and he knew that his brother had gotten the same habit. It was a habit most, or all Lestranges picked up eventually in their life sooner, more then later.
He sighed has he crept over to his dresser and began to search through it lazily for something to wear. He pulled out the first thing he found which was a white t-shirt and a pair of black shorts. He slipped them on idly before moving over to slip on his shoes. He looked at the sleeping bodies and shook his head, wondering how they could sleep but then he remembered that they probably hadn't lost the woman they loved and he shook his head.
He crept silently out of the common room and towards the grounds. He stopped dead in his tracks, because he realized he did not have his prefect badge on. The only thing, much like a free pass to do whatever he wanted, kept him inside the common room. He sighed and took a seat next to the fire, grabbing a book from the table in front of him.

Regulus couldn't sleep, his mind with too many things. Emmelia, his family issues, homework that he hadn't finished yet. There was just too much going on in his head and there was no way he was going to be able to resolve any of it just now. Well, maybe the homework, but there was no way in hell he was going to do that right now. He sighed and sat up in bed, he'd been trying for hours to get to sleep and really nothing had worked. That whole counting sheep thing was just ridiculous, he tried to read some of his homework but he couldn't do that very successfully since he didn't want to wake up any of his friends with the light.
Finally deciding to go down to the common room, he got out of bed. Throwing on his cozy green plaid robe, which had been a Christmas present from his mother, the black t-shirt and dark green pajama pants he had on. He sighed as he got down on the floor to find his slippers which had managed to get under the bed somehow. Damn house elves, weren't they supposed to keep everything nice and clean around here? This was what he missed about home, Kreacher always kept everything in it's probably place. After finally finding his second slipper which had been all the way at the back of the bed he slipped them on and got up.
He let out a sigh as he made his way into the common room, he so wished he could sleep. This was so annoying whenever it happened, it made him really miss home. At least there he could go into the kitchen and talk with Kreacher, he liked the house elf and liked that the elf listened to him. Even though Kreacher didn't have too much of a choice in the matter, but he could tell that the elf generally liked him so that made him feel a little bit better.
Taking a seat in one of the chairs by the fire, he didn't realize there was anybody there for a few moments. Man he was tired, but then he saw the oh so familiar Rodolphus. He wasn't sure if he should interrupt his reading, but at the same time he didn't want to ignore his fellow Slytherin. "Why are you up so late?" he asked, it was a bit of a silly question but he figured he might as well make a bit of small talk.

Rodolphus looked at the old book on the table again, bringing back the memories of his father. The memories would bring back terrible torture that only people would dream about. Those dreams were a reality for the entire Lestrange family. Rod was tired of waking up bleeding from his father's drunken rampages through the house. One day for sure, his father would surely end up murdering someone in his drunken state. And that person was not going to be Rodolphus, no sir.
Minutes passed and nothing was said, until Regulus mentioned that he had a very long night and was unable to sleep. Far too many times had Rodolphus undergone that pain and agony. It was believed that spending the night with his brother Rabastian, all those sleepless nights, was the spike for his insomnia and he beginning spark to his fiery temper. The temper was just like his father's only, he was sober.
It has been yet another long night for me, as well.
Obviously, he was awake wasn't he? Rodolphus had the delights of doing the latest patrol possible. It did have it's perks. the patrol gave him time to just collect his thoughts and just try to relax. Once the relaxation would begin, there would be at least one student who was out of bed and claiming to be sleepwalking. Rod would escort the student back to their common room, and the process would begin once again. Rodolphus looked at Regulus again and began thinking about the Dark Arts. Well Regulus, I hear you are fond of the Dark Arts and following the Dark Lord. Am I correct? Rod's eyes glimmered at the though of gaining a new member and supporter. Bellatrix had already been working on recruitment for the new members and he was getting behind in his work. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

So much was going through his mind, about everything. What homework he needed to do before class tomorrow. How it was going to get done. This whole relationship thing or whatever this was going on between him and Emmelia. His parents had just sent him a letter about joining the Death Eaters, he had to think over whether or not he really should. He had always wanted to but now that it was coming down to actually doing it he was really starting to analyze whether or not it was the right thing. He could always be a supporter and just support right? But it would mean so much to his family if he actually joined.
Well at least he had the company of one of the best Slytherin's of Hogwarts. Thank god, he didn't think he could take being down here with some annoying first year or even his own classmates. As much as he enjoyed his classmates they really knew nothing about him except the basics like his family and how much Regulus was not a fan of his brother. Basically everyone knew that story by now, probably because half of Slytherin house was pretty much related to eachother in some way or another.
He nodded in agreement, though he had never suffered from insomnia just the thought of it sounded horrible. Regulus liked his sleep like everyone else, and he definitely valued it, if he didn't sleep he'd be even more terrible and definitely less patient with people all the next day. He sighed and said with a shrug,"Very long night. I can't get to sleep for some reason." Regulus wasn't going to elaborate more unless asked to, he didn't like to trouble people with his problems. And he certainly wasn't about to just dive into his issues in the middle of the night with Rodolphus, he was sure that was the last thing Rodolphus would want to listen to was a sixteen year old's random troubles.

Rodolphus looked at Regulus with a concerned look upon his face. Did Rod truly care? Not really, but he could damn well act like he did. Something was seriously bothering Regulus, usually the boy would rarely shut up when talking to Lestrange or any of the other Slytherin's it was his first clue that something was eating him up on the inside.
His eyebrow perked up when all Regulus would do was nod in agreement. Okay, seriously? This boy has problems. It wasn't fair for Rodolphus to be so judgmental, for he had some serious problems of his own. It was finally time to push Regulus in the direction of the Dark Arts, it was his destiny and the calling of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. It was time for Regulus cross over and learn what was in store for him, not to mention the pride he would bring to his family for finally joining.
Regulus did not even budge when he mentioned the Dark Lord. Insolent boy... the anger was growing inside Rodolphus, but he tried to regain his composure before Regulus would catch on to his temper burning up inside him. Why wouldnt he even say anything to the question? It began to anger Rod for his behavior. He took a deep breath before speaking. Obviously something is bothering you, Mister Black. You might as well get it off your chest.

Yes generally Regulus was pretty chatty, even late at night he was pretty chatty. But he wasn't in the talkative mood right now, there was just too much going on with him that he had stuck up in his mind that talking wasn't really his forte right now. Well it was that and the combination of being so out of it that was making him so quiet. Boy was he a mess right now.
He was so tired, all he wanted to do was sleep and yet he couldn't get to sleep. He was a bit brain dead at the moment, he just couldn't think at all. Well he could think but it was about everything he really didn't want to think about. Why was he freaking out about all of this now? He was freaking Regulus Black, he shouldn't be too worried over girls, though maybe because it was one girl that was the problem. And not only that this was the girl that he'd know forever. Yes that was it, he'd known her forever, there was some attachment there, that was why this was getting so hard. But he really did like her, it was strange and definitely something new for him, which was why this whole secret relationship thing was starting to freak him out.
Staring at the fire for a few minutes he was in a bit of a daze. He really needed to get some sleep otherwise tomorrow was going to be horrible. Maybe he could skip a class, he didn't want to since he already had so much to do but it was that or sleep in class. Snapping out of it he looked back at Rodolphus as he spoke. "Well it's just a bunch of stuff... I got a letter from my parents asking about when I'm going to join the Dark Lord. I'm just not sure if I should do it or not." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair and then added,"And just some stuff with Emmelia and whatever it is that's going on between us." But he didn't want to bother Rodolphus with his trouble, especially with his girl troubles. Shaking his head he sighed and slouched a little bit in his chair,"But it's nothing, I mean it's not really too much to worry about I guess."

Rodolphus was constantly at war with himself. Never would the boy ever rest until his so called destiny was fulfilled, but yet he had no idea how to solve this mystery. He was pretty much caught up in his thoughts and had no idea how to escape them, no matter how terrible and twisted they became in his mind. It was times like these where Rodolphus would just pick on younger students just to get a thrill going and just escape his insanity.
His life was not getting any easier, that was for sure. Regulus wanted to speak about what was on his mind. Finally, maybe he will actually tell me something interesting and not a three word sentence The awkward silence was never a good thing for Rodolphus for it was fueling the hatred he had inside and it would erupt sooner or later. Regulus began to speak, finally words, glorious words that he could use to make a decent conversation out of this predominately boring one. Ah, a letter. Very good. I’m very glad to hear your parents are very supportive in your choice
Rodolphus could only smirk after he had spoken, he crossed his arms and looked back at the fire for a brief moment. Joining the Dark Lord was the only answer, and it must be made perfectly clear that it was the only option. If I am correct, Emmelia joined us not too long ago. It would be another idea for you to join us. Not to mention, bringing pride back to the Black name, since it has been frowned upon since Sirius left. He had known about the Emmelia situation for awhile now, everything about it made him cringe with displeasure. Apparently Emmelia thought it was the last resort to speak with Rodolphus face to face about this matter. What was he to do? Throw her out into the darkness without helping a fellow classmate? It did indeed cross his train of thought, but no. Now wait a moment, is everything going well with the both of you?[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"They would love it if I joined, I can't think of anything that would make them happier." He was glad he at least had the support of his family, thank god for that. "They want me to join over the winter holiday, but I'm not sure... it seems a bit soon." Regulus said with a shrug, he didn't want to be pressured into answering by the holiday. But at least if he did it then he'd just have it over and done with. It would take a little bit of the pressure off him and besides he was sure that he'd get more respect by everyone if they knew that he had joined. He would love that right about now, especially after all the drama that had gone one between him and Emmelia. He would love to come back and just throw that in her face and Sirius'.
He shook his head at the thought of how terrible it had been after his brother had left,"Oh dear god don't remind me." Regulus hated being reminded of how his idiot brother had disgraced their family. It had been so embarrassing for everyone, especially having to go back to school and know that just about everyone in Slytherin knew some way or another about what had happened that horrible summer. He thought for a minute and then asked,"What's it like to join the Dark Lord? What would I have to do?" The idea of joining was more and more tempting, especially now that he had nothing to lose. If he died, so what? At least he'd die with some honor serving the Dark Lord. Only his family would miss him, though he wasn't sure how his parents would ever cope if they lost him too. But he was willing to risk his life doing this,
Hardly well at all, he really didn't know what the hell had happened between him and Emmelia. Every time he thought about it he felt infuriated by what she had said."No...everything's horrible." He couldn't believe what had gone on between them in the library. "Apparently she was dating Sirius... well is dating Sirius," He said as he cringed at the thought of that, well at least his brother now had his sloppy seconds that was the only bright side on this. At least now that she was out of the way he could focus on his future, thank god he had something to focus on. "If only murder was legal," he said with a sigh as he looked back at the fire, he so wished that he could just kill off his brother, life would be so much easier for him.

They would love it if I joined, I can't think of anything that would make them happier. It was like pure thrill once Regulus had spoken, finally another recruit was well on the way. Sirius Black had shamed the Black name for too long, and it was time for Regulus to see his future unfold and regain pride and honor to the house of Black. "They want me to join over the winter holiday, but I'm not sure... it seems a bit soon." It was never too soon to join the greatest army in the wizarding world and never too late to join as well.
Rodolphus was excited to finally add another member to the so called family. He smirked and unfolded his arms and walked in front of Regulus with a crooked grin. Any pureblooded family would be excited to have their son join the Dark Lord, it’s the ultimate Christmas present for them
Rodolphus smirked again, pulling his wand from his pocket and holding it firmly in his hand. Regulus asked the golden question. What was it like joining the Dark Lord and how would you be able to join? It was simple enough. That’s the easy part of the job. You must first be accepted into the Death Eaters, and approved by The Dark Lord himself. That’s just to be sure you aren’t a spy or supporting Dumbledore. Finally, you must gain the Dark Mark upon your left forearm Rodolphus rolled up his left sleeve, revealing the somewhat faded Dark Mark. The skull with the tongue of a snake began to become darker on his skin. If you are sure about joining, I will touch my Dark Mark with my wand, thus sending a message to The Dark Lord for a new possible member He smirked again, watching the snake move from the mouth of the skull. Apparently she was dating Sirius... well is dating Sirius. His eyes widened and he began to wonder if the so called advice he had given her actually made her choose Sirius over Regulus. No, that was impossible. Rodolphus made everything he said sound like Regulus was the better option. She is missing out then. It’s her loss Again he folded his arms across his chest, still holding his wand firmly in his hand. It was outrageous that Emmelia had chosen the lesser of the Black brothers, maybe this was the reason Regulus had made his choice to join the Death Eaters. There will be a time when you can seek your revenge on your brother. For now, just wait and that time will come sooner[/blockquote][/blockquote]

More and more he was starting to think it was a good idea. He knew there would be some risk in joining, but what fun would it be without a little risk? It would take his mind off of everything that was going on with him, it would be the perfect escape from all this drama. And plus it was the one thing that Emmelia didn't want him to do. If he did it it would show her just how much she meant to him anymore.
He nodded in agreement, yes it would be nice to come home and be able to tell his family that he had joined the Dark Lord. They would be so proud of him, it would make Christmas so much more enjoyable. The holidays were always difficult now that Sirius wasn't around. It was still nice but still it was like there was something missing and everyone was trying to ignore it. Yes, he would join then, it would be the perfect way to bring up the Christmas spirit.
"That seems easy enough." He could deal with that sort of initiation. From what Emmelia had made it out to be he thought it was going to be horrible. But then again why should he have trusted anything she had said? She was completely against them anyways so he should have figured she'd say terrible things against the Death Eaters. Staring at Rodolphus' Dark Mark for a moment, he thought about whether or not he should just join. It was what he wanted, it would show everyone that he wasn't somebody to be messed with. And it would definitely show Emmelia that he wasn't weak at all. He hesitated, he wanted to say yes, but there was so much more he wanted to know. "Do you think this is the right thing for me? I mean I want to... but do you think I could do this?" He asked, he felt so young right now, he wished somebody could just make a decision for him.
"I don't get why she'd chose him." He shook his head, he'd been thinking about this over and over in his head. Yes it was her loss but that didn't help him, he had still lost her as well. Though he was more infuriated than depressed, at least when he was in public. He didn't even care if he killed his brother, he just wanted to hurt his brother as much as Sirius had hurt him. "But I don't want to wait. I want to kill him or at least hurt him. Anything, I can't stand him." He said bitterly, he knew he may be impatient and that Rodolphus was probably right. He should wait to seek revenge on his brother but he didn't think he could wait too long.

Rodolphus was beginning to feel a little uneasy about the situation. Of course he had wanted Regulus to join; he had his eye set on recruiting him for the past year or so. It was finally time to seal the deal, but Regulus seemed to be a little relentless at first. Come on, Black. Make your family proud the words rang throughout his thoughts, but there was something holding Black from joining for sure. Was it the idea that Emmelia was in the Death Eaters and he wanted nothing to do with her? Or was there a hidden reason for his trepidation. Sounds easy enough Oh sure, he thought it was easy.
You just had to make sure The Dark Lord liked you before you could join. It was not an easy task at all, if daunting was your fancy it would satisfy. Rodolphus looked intently at him, still having his arms crossed his chest, wand at the ready. I shall owl him at once. When I get the go ahead, I can begin the initiation process. Then the fun begins
He smirked after he had spoken, it would be Lestrange’s second recruitment this year, thus helping his ranks among the Death Eaters. Rod had always wanted to be the best, and in the Dark Lord’s army he would be the best; there was no question about it. Do you think this is the right thing for me? I mean I want to... but do you think I could do this? His ears had perked up once Regulus had spoken these words. The Dark Arts was not for the faint of heart, it was for blood lusting soldiers, and soldiers who wanted to cleanse the world of blood traitors alike. I can see you being a great addition to the Death Eaters. The tasks are not troublesome, you soon shall see Rodolphus began thinking of his first mission; he was assigned with Bellatrix to gain secret information throughout London on possible spies in the clan and must eliminate them at all costs. It was his first kill, and the rush after a killing was undeniable. There was the fire that was igniting within Regulus, the thought of his bestfriend choosing a blood traitor over him, the more suitable choice for a mate. Rodolphus could see the fire growing inside the Black boy and it was ready to be unleashed. He grinned evilly as he uncrossed his arms, ready to touch the Dark Mark with his wand. It seems, like you have made your choice to join us[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He was sure he could get in, he was apart of the Black family after all. And plus his parents were supports of the Dark Lord. Just hopefully his idiot brother's choices wouldn't effect his chances of getting in. That was his only worry, he hoped nobody would doubt him and think that he was anything like Sirius. "The...fun?" He asked hesitantly. Fun? He was somewhat scared as to what this fun was. When he thought of an initiation into anything his first thought wasn't fun. Regulus highly doubted that it would be any kind of fun. It would probably be stressful and god only knows what else.
At least it didn't seem like it would be horrible. What had Emmelia been talking about? Yeah maybe killing somebody would be hard, but that was life. Survival of the fittest, and he knew who the winner would be. If it was between his life and somebody else's he didn't think it would be too hard to kill anybody. "Good. From what Emmelia talked about it seemed like it would be quite difficult." Regulus hated mentioned Emmelia, as soon as her name had come out he had really wished it hadn't. It was hard to know that they weren't even friends anymore. It angered him so much that their relationship had been completely destroyed by his stupid brother.
He was curious what his first mission would be, he hoped it wouldn't be anything too overwhelming. But at the same time he wanted to prove himself worthy of benig apart of the Death Eaters. He was sure whatever it was, he would be able to do the job. He wanted to show them all what he could do and what he was willing to do for the cause. "Yes, I'll do it." Regulus said with a smile, doing his best to convince himself that he had made the right choice. If he didn't, well he supposed it was too late to turn back now.

The thought of The Dark Lord finally improving his ranks was constantly on his mind. Finally, Rodolphus would get the praise he would deserve. Indeed Regulus would make a fine addition to the Death Eaters. He quickly touched his Dark Mark brand upon his left forearm with his wand, watching the Skull and Snake become more visible on his skin. The signal had been sent, it would only take a matter of moments for The Dark Lord to make his choice upon accepting Regulus into the clan.
He has been alerted of your choice. Now, we wait a few moments until He replies
It would not take too much time at all. After all, He would be constantly on the rise and always looking for followers. Hopefully he would be pleased with Rodolphus for finding another loyal servant. The fun meaning; getting your approval to join us. Not to mention a handbook to read, some shopping to do. But no matter, I will be there every step of the way Rodolphus could sense a little hesitation with Black once again. It was time consuming, more than anything. Rarely ever stressful, and all you need to do is follow orders. Nothing to it, really. It became apparent that Regulus was not fully informed on everything that went down in meeting and the like. Sitting up his chair a little as Rodolphus touched his Dark Mark, he really hoped that he would get in. He took a deep breathe as he began to get a bit nervous. What if the Dark Lord said no? Then what? He began to think of all the bad things that could happen in this situation. He hadn't been this nervous about anything since he had been in line for the Sorting Hat all those years ago. What if he was making the wrong decision? Maybe he was just jumping the gun on this and making a spiteful decision? There was no backing out now, what was he going to do? Snapping back to reality as Rodolphus spoke of the "fun", he felt a little less anxious. It didn't seem to bad. He was thinking it was going to be a lot worse than what Rodolphus had described, that really seemed like nothing. "That doesn't sound too bad," he said, more to himself than to Rodolphus. At least he'd have somebody to help him through this whole thing, that was quite comforting, even though he was still quite nervous as to what was going to happen.
Regulus had always been in love with the idea of being a Death Eater, it would make his family so proud, it would make him the perfect son. I mean he was already close to that already but still he wanted to be absolutely perfect in their eyes. But now as he was learning more and more from everyone he was starting to become more hesitant. After all he didn't want to get into this without knowing a lot and then realizing this wasn't the right thing for him. It was a scary thought that he was making a life changing at the age of sixteen.
He tried to think of this positively. There were a lot of people that looked at being a Death Eater as a great honor, so he was doing something good by making this decision. He'd be doing exactly what Emmelia didn't want him to do, which was what he wanted right now. He would once again be showing that he was far superior to his brother. Yeah this was the right decision. And it seemed like getting in wasn't that terrifying as he thought it would be. Maybe he was just working himself up a little bit, he just needed to calm down and chill out.

Rodolphus was getting restless; the Dark Lord would return his message anytime now. He couldn’t help but begin to think about how he and Bella were constantly at each other’s throats in constant debate about his recruitment methods. Rodolphus had always been thought of very well by the other Death Eaters in his decision making throughout his time with the Dark Lord. Never had he been so insulted of his reasoning before. The emerald eyes were beginning to turn gray, just like his damned father. It was the one thing Rodolphus never wanted to become, his filthy father and all he had done against his family. Whenever he would remotely think about his father, his temper would flare up and make others fear to be around him.
He sighed and shook his head, forcing his thoughts to change so he would calm down around Regulus. That doesn’t sound too bad was all Black would say. It was all too interesting how a man with man words would shut himself up and become quiet and reserved. Obviously Regulus was still feeling hatred and anger directed at Emmelia and Sirius, but now was not the time to dwell in the events of the past. Rodolphus remained quiet for the time being, focusing all his power on watching his arm for the message to be received. Finally, the moment had come. The brand upon his arm became visible once again, the snake tongue from the skull swayed back and forth across his forearm. A choice had been made. His eyes looked from his left forearm to Regulus, who was looking rather calm about the whole ordeal.
Mister Black, I have some good news for you
He had spoken with a hushed tone, not wanting other insomniacs to hear their discussion. If someone were to hear this talk, god only knows that he and Regulus would be turned into the headmaster for making poor choices, the words made him scoff. No one knew about the so called bridge club that Bellatrix had cleverly named for them. Until now, their secret had been in the clear, until Cadmus had rained on their parade. Again he shook his head, focusing back on Regulus. You have been accepted into the Death Eaters. Before you are marked, there are various things that must be attended to. As mentioned before, there will be certain items to buy, books to read and tasks to complete[/blockquote][/blockquote]
