Hannah Abbott WE HAVE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD BEFORE |
[/div] Timing was everything, that she at least remembered from her experience from the last time she was in the school.. Sadly she wasn’t as acquainted as the others had been as they had been ripped from their beds at school only to be placed right in beds of school just of a different time. Hannah was sadly different she wasn’t ripped from her Hufflepuff bed. It had been months since she had been a school when she was ripped through the vortex of time to be where she was now. Others had the safety and security of the school and the knowledge of the fact that ministry was ever present and ever there to protect them.. Sadly Hannah had learned firsthand that cloak of the Ministry’s protection only reached so far, it hadn’t protected her mother and prior to the moment when she was given a second lease on life it had been proving it wasn’t protecting her either.. Yes prior to the her laps in time Hannah had been on the run under Auror’s protection the last person she saw was surrounded in glow green light before she was pulled from the horrific scene.. Truth was she carried secrets locked up tight in her mind prior her mother had planted them there in her subconscious sadly she couldn’t remember what single one was, the only thing she knew was what she had in mind was worth killing for and it had killed those whom she cared about and it seemed it would eventually kill her too.. However that wouldn’t come to light tonight, no tonight she was simply among company of another like someone who no doubt had some of the same questions she had.. So as she walked along grounds following him and attempting not to trip and fall on the ice the autumn frost had left on the grounds she found herself thankful for distractions and knowledge that she was simply not alone on this.. “careful, I know the Squid is more of a warm weather sort but if you see something poke out of that water please let me know.. I don’t want to be squid bait”

Ryan walked across the grounds at a quick pace, careful not to lose his balance and fall. His balance was a... Perk of his extreme lifestyles, or as he liked to call it, his adrenaline junkieism. He really didn't know why he was taking the girl, Hannah, whom he had just met literally an hour ago, out to the lake, but he needed something to do. He was grateful to have another 'exchange student' to talk to, and try to figure out just what it was that happened to them all.
As he neared the lake, he let go of Hannah's hand and slowed his pace a little bit. He was still wearing a t-shirt and jeans, because he hadn't planned on leaving the castle tonight. It was a really, really cold night in October. He didn't even think about getting caught out of bed at such a late hour, not because he didn't care, but because the possibility of getting caught wasn't a possibilityat all to him. He had snuck around the castle since his second year, and knew many things about it that lots of students didn't. He was an expert at sneaking out.
He wrapped his arms around himself and sat next to a lone tree on the lake's shore. He gestured for her to do the same, although he would hardly blame her if she wanted to go back to the castle.
He listened to her speak, and laughed.
"No, I don't think we will see him tonight. I wonder if he's even out there. If he was, it would make him a very old squid."

[/div] Hannah's hands began to feel numb the chill made harsher with the harshness of the wind that seemed to rip threw her simple school issued cloak. Blond waves circled around her head as the wind brought forth all the smells of the place that she knew well.
So strange the feeling peace that washed over her as the scent of that black lake drifted back to her nose. In an instant she was brought back to a time that was safer two years prior when she would take long walks with Susan and Ernie and the would skip rocks along the glass surface of the lake when the only care in the world she had was obtaining decent marks and the heart break that came with seeing Cho with Cedric.
The moment his hand pulled from her own hand and the cold of autumn began to make her fingers tingle she was pulled from her reverie and the situation of the here and now played out before her..
On the surface she knew she should feel safe as the here and now was ten times more safer than that of the place she left behind.. Sadly that was thing though wasn't it, She knew the cost of doing nothing and frankly she wouldn't remain there to squander the gift that she had been given, changes would be made.
"Well Squids are suppose to live a long time. Perhaps it is there and it is just a much smaller squid.."

Ryan looked up at her from the ground, and realizing she probably wouldn't sit with him pulled her down beside him. He smiled.
"Sorry for my unneccessary roughness. I am aggressive." He said, and laughed. "Are you cold? I am.." He asked.
He looked at her eyes and face, and watched as her hair blew around her face. He rather enjoyed her blond hair. He laughed again, and took out his wand to try to make a fire, and then put it back realizing someone from the castle would see it.
*OOC* Sorry, I had a brat screaming in my ear the whole time... Short post!*

[/div] She hadn’t been expecting to be pulled to sit down next to him. She was used to keeping a safe distance between herself and those whose company she kept. After all that past few months she had known that that much contact with someone was dangerous as it put them in danger when it came to spells and hex’s that were directed at you..
Hannah’s klutzy nature had her flopping down obediently next to him, when she normally would have fought it. Sadly the ice coated ground made holding her ground and personal space difficult. But regardless the moment she was released she put adequate space between the two. It wasn’t that Hannah was frigid and un-comfortable with the closeness after all it wasn’t as if he had dropped her off in his lap.
She smirked watching him as he offered the polished apology for being aggressive as if that was something he should apologize for.
“don’t sweat it, I’ve been man handled worse by those who’s intentions are more questionable.” She watched him pull his wand and looking at him she figured he was in agony with the breath ceasing cold that seemed to weigh heavy. She herself wasn’t overly bothered with the cold as she did have her charmed jacket on but she knew he probably was not near as lucky.
She grabbed her clutch rummaging around in it for several moments before she pulled form it a small vial of orange colored powder she poured a dime sized amount in front of her before she blew on it softy watching it erupt into a small scene of dancing smokeless flames that radiated heat.. “I don’t think they will expel us, but I feel you.. The last thing I want is detention in the first week here, but I think this will go un-noticed..”

Ryan smiled as she sat down next to him, and slid a little farther away. He laughed, and then looked towards the lake. When he got bored with the lake, he laid down on his back and watched the stars.
"Well, maybe you should stop hanging out with questionable men. And no, we won't be expelled, especially being time travellers and all." He laughed, then looked sideways at her. She was so.. Mystical looking. He smiled at the thought, and rolled back on his back.
He smiled, glad about how much his life had changed in a month. One month ago, he had been loner, no friends, hanging with his cat all the time, playing guitar, and being the subject of many rumors, specifically one about being part goblin. Yes, most of his classmates are extremely nice to him.

Hannah Abbott WE HAVE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD BEFORE |
[/div] Truly this was a nice change for her. Being able to sit there with someone else and not worry about what they thought of you. Reality was the past few days back at Hogwarts had been nothing near like it had been when she was previously at Hogwarts. She was missing her friends, and there surrounded by foreign faces. IT was anything but comforting to Hannah, who was homesick long before the she found herself at Hogwarts in a year that was different.
She leaned against the rock a long sigh pulled from her as she looked up skyward. Watching the clouds move in and out to hide the Moon that was just now making its appearance. She wondered if she looked near as tired as she felt. She had been caught sleep walking again along the third floor corridor, she had been lucky that it was Madam Pomfrey that had caught her and not a Slytherin.
Looking back at the boy as he spoke she found her cheeks flush with color as he mentioned that she needs to find a better company of men. “Questionable men?” She chuckled dryly, “Not a problem now that I’m here. “ She smiled softly “I hope you’re getting around a lot better than me. “ Looking down she sighed feeling the edge of pain that came with loneliness. She blinked back tears determined not to cry she wouldn’t be the same mess she had been back in her time at Hogwarts there was after all so much to be thankful here.. Now the time was theirs to change what they could, and you couldn’t’ cheapen that it had the one thing she didn’t have before the time shift. Now she had hope, Though she knew that that hope would be better appreciated in the constrains of her friends.
Here It honestly felt like just her. Looking at him she smiled rolling her eyes “ I’m sorry I miss my friends more than I had ever imagined possible. Here Does it feel like we are surrounded by Enemies, and people only looking to hurt you? Or is it just me?” Drawing her knees close to her chest she rested her chin on them watching the small flames of her little fire dance in thin air.
