It was all in good fun, it truly was. Sirius had always been the guy to break the rules or bend them as much as he possibly could. For some unknown reason, he was just unable to control himself around Emmelia. This had never happened before. What was coming over Sirius Orion Black? The feeling inside him was growing everyday, something he had never encountered before in his lifetime. It was strange indeed, but he needed to figure out what was happening with himself.
Emmelia was different. Sirius had never truly had a girl who he truly cared about and would do anything for. The other girls before her were merely just flings and nothing special to him. Sirius kept gazing at the cloudy sky, wondering about what was to come. Sorry, my dear. You should state the rules more clearly when you challenge me.
He smiled and laughed a little after he had spoken. Sirius was glad to have a date to the Masquerade, a real one. Not just someone he made or forced to attend with him. The world seemed to finally give him a break, seeing as though he has limited friends and a very large target above his head for all of his mischief. Maybe, it's time for me to grow up and stop taking pleasure in others misfortunes. He sighed and he began thinking about how much he truly liked to prank people, but he only did it for a means of attention. Did Sirius really need this attention? If he was getting attention at all, it was negative. Something had to change, but how was he just going to give up something that meant a lot him? Em, I think we need to talk... Words: 360 Comments: Cliffhangerrrrr Wearing:Click![/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
Emmelia knew that there was something about Sirius she just couldn't resist. His personality attracted her from the start, the way he joked, laughed, just had an all around good time. The way he stood by his values and stood up to his views. It was as if nothing could touch him, he was invincible, but at the same time that could easily be his downfall. She had always cared for Sirius even when they were little. When she used to stay at Grimmauld place and play joked on Sirius and Regulus. She cared for them both deeply...and couldn't bare to let one or the other go.
"Oh, whatever! You simply just bend the rules to your own personal gain!" She slapped him playfully on the arm and laughed a little. "Fine, next time I will specify how we should race. Even though you still cheated." It was times like these that she really enjoyed being with him, with not a care in the world. He was different and that's what made him very appealing to her.
Emmelia could tell that something was bothering him a little. And she was curious as to what he wanted to talk to her about. "And what about?" She asked seriously. What was going on? Sirius never acted serious before. It was an odd and rare site to see, even when she was upset earlier he wasn't too serious. Sure, he cared for her and all, but this time was something different.

Sirius was getting sick and tired of everyone telling him to just grow up. Ever since he was young, his parents refused to give him praise for doing anything remotely humorous. He was unable to think of a time where his parents actually laughed or had a good time. I suppose that it why they named him Sirius because they were always so serious.
He shook his head to get away from his current train of thought and looked at Emmelia again. Do you think I am immature...
After he had spoken, Sirius sat up straight, looking into the distance. A tear formed in his eye, but he wiped it away before Em was able to see anything. It was a form of torture for Sirius to hear that he was never going to get married, for no girl would ever trust him and anything that goes with it. Sirius was never the one to show any sort of emotion, especially one that showed him being weak. Everyone thought how could mister black have heart when all he does his inflict embarrassment towards others? He was going to change, even if it was going to kill him. There was no way Sirius was going to lose Emmelia, for anything. Even something as trivial as being a prankster. Emmelia was expecting the worst to come from him. She didn't know what he was going to say next but what came out of his mouth, made her smile a little bit. She actually could've laughed but knew how serious he was about it. She shook her head and sat up with him, she looked at him for a moment or two without saying a word. Why did that bother him so much? Sure, everyone said he's immature, which he could be at times, well, most times, but the thing about it was he was just trying to have fun. That's how he was as a person and he couldn't change that.
"You have immature tendencies, yes. But for the most part you're not in particular, when it comes to having fun, I believe immaturity is much called for." She told him at last. He really was upset by it though, she could tell it bothered him, since the whole castle thought he was immature at all times. It was when he played pranks and such that he was immature. He was Sirius Black after all, James Potter's right hand man.
Emmelia wondered how she would feel if she ever lost Sirius. She couldn't imagine it. It would be like a giant void in her soul, and just thinking about it made her sad. He was one of her best friends and she loved him dearly. He had a way of always making her smile no matter what, he listened to her, made her feel like she mattered. She loved being around him. There was a glow to him that seemed to always make her feel warm inside, like nothing could touch her. She felt protected when she was around him, and she enjoyed that feeling very much.

Sirius wiped another tear from his eye, trying not to draw attention to it, he crossed his arms over his knees and sighed deeply. The rumors were constantly spreading about how Black only wanted flings and how he broke girls' hearts and constantly spreading rumors that were never true. If life had a reset button, Sirius would have pushed it long ago. There was one thing he would not change for his life; meeting his dear friends here at school. Emmelia was his longest and most treasured friend, someone he never wanted to lose. It was time to finally admit what was on his heart for a while, but never knew exactly how to say it.
Padfoot, dang it just say what is on your mind. Let the girl get on with her life if she doesn't feel the same way. Sirius unfolded his arms and took Emmelia's hands in his own and looked into her eyes with a bright smile. He opened his mouth, but the words failed to come out. What was going on? Why was he unable to speak all of the sudden? It was as if put the silencing jinx on him. Come on, Black. Just say it! Emmelia I love you
His eyes widened after he just blurted the words from his mouth. He flushed a little and turned away, hiding his pink face. Great, how would anyone reply to that? Sirius began beating himself up on the inside. I'm sorry for just putting that out there in the open, but it was killing me not being able to say it Words: 324 Comments: You're an alien... Emmelia was so confused as to why he was so upset. She wondered if there was more that he had on his mind but she wasn't sure how to ask it. He was acting odd ever since she saw him earlier and it just wasn't like him at all. She wondered if what she told him hurt him in some way. It was just strange to see him in such a state of emotion. There were so many feelings that she had going through her, and she was quite confused by the whole ordeal.
His hands grasping hers made her adrenaline rush, his touch always had that effect on her. She looked into his eyes and just melted instantly. Then he finally said what he had to say and it was something she was not expecting what so ever. She completely froze, her mind reeling from what was happening at the moment. What do I do? She asked herself. She did love Sirius but she loved his brother also. This was beginning to become a huge mess in itself. It left her completely shocked...she didn't know what to say or do. Sirius was never one for actual serious relationships, why was she so different to him? That's what completely caught her off guard...
"Sirius, I-" Emmelia cut herself off and looked down at her hands in his shaking her head slightly trying to clear her thoughts. It was all happening so fast and she didn't want to have him heartbroken if she decided to go with his brother or vice versa. It was unlike her to just lead people on, she hated that feeling for herself, and none the less doing it to people she actually cared about. She was completely at a loss for words here, and she didn't want to hurt him or anything. She needed time to collect her thoughts and think of what she was going to do.

It pained Sirius to know that Emmelia, the one who changed his life, was secretly seeing his brother Regulus. He sighed and looked at the ground, it started to make a little sense to him. Reg was a Slytherin, just like she was, he wasn't a blood traitor which would make the Jammison family very happy. His gray eyes fell down to the ground, looking upset and rather broken hearted. Nothing had ever caused this emotion before. Was it fear of losing her to his brother, it was definitely an option but he wasn't sure if she would choose him over Sirius.
The thought of losing Emmelia to Regulus was like a dagger to his heart, it even made him lose his breath. Sirius looked at Emmelia with a soft look in his eyes. I understand if you choose Reg over me. It would be what your parents would want
Those words cut him like a knife, but it was the truth. Sirius only wanted Emmelia to have happiness, for her past was anything but that. She was his one true girl best friend, Lily was in the picture but she hated Sirius' guts probably more than James'. Emmelia deserved to be happy and if it wasn't with him, then he would just have to live with it. Regulus would be better at protecting Emmelia, because he would have a "safe house" for them to run to, the very house Sirius was banished from. Sirius stood and looked at Emmelia for a long time, he wanted to shed a tear but it wouldn't happen. I really do love you, that will never change Sirius Black had never loved another woman in his life, not even his mother to an extent. Emmelia was shocked, completely shocked, and heart broken. What had gotten into her? To even allow herself to fall for both Regulus and Sirius. To actually date them around the same time. This wasn't like her at all, it wasn't in her nature to do something so stupid and wrong. She loved them both and it was going to be hard to choose on over the other. To let one go possibly out of her life forever. Regulus would be angry, infuriated, and probably never forgive her. Yet, here Sirius is pour his heart out to her, and all she could do was sit there shocked.
She had every intention to break it off with Regulus as soon as Sirius and her started, but once they saw each other and he kissed her...she had a hard time telling him, and just disregarded it all together. Their relationship in the first place was supposed to be for fun, it was never supposed to turn into anything serious. So, why couldn't she just dump him and go with the person who would make it last with her. Sirius was never going to become a Death Eater either, he was against his parents, and had amazing friends surrounding him.
"You're right, my parents would want me to choose Regulus." Emmelia finally spoke, everything seeming to fall into place. She stood up and added, "But since when have I done what my parents wanted me to do?" She turned around to look at him saying, "I meant to break if off with him when we started. You see Regulus never wanted anything more than just a hook up. I don't know what it was but when I saw him the day I was going to...I choked..."
Tears formed in her eyes as she continued, "I never meant for any of this to happen, Sirius, I have always loved you..." With that she turned back around walking toward the exit of the pitch. "Give me a couple days, and I'll let you know of my decision..." With that she was gone, her decision practically made.

this was all happening too quickly for Sirius to comprehend. He had fallen for Emmelia a long time ago, in the days where he still lived at home and she would visit ever summer. It was all falling to pieces, or so he thought. Sirius had never put his heart out in the open, or nothing remotely close to what he had done here. It felt good to let his emotions out and tell her exactly how he felt about her.
Looks at her when she speaks about how her parents would just love her choosing Regulus over him. It was like eating glass, unhealthy and hurts like hell. Sirius didn't know what else to tell Emmelia, he felt as if he had said everything that was needed to be said. Em was the girl for him, there was no missing that. If there was one thing Sirius muster up the courage to say it would have been, I truly wish I could have protected you more than what I have been doing, about the Death Eater thing
Sirius knew how much it killed her inside that her parents had forced her to become a member and wear the Dark Mark. It was truly sickening to see, something had to be done about this. the only problem was that, if he solely fought the Dark Arts alone, he wouldn't have a chance. The moment Em mentioned that she had always loved him, his heart was full of happiness and it was as if nothing else in the world ever mattered. He held her close to him, not wanting to let go. I understand, Em. The only words he could say, thinking about how this could be the last time he would ever hold her like this again. Moments flew by, it felt like the rest of his life. She stood up and began to walk away from him. His eyes were full of sadness as she left him, but he trusted her choice no matter what it would be.
