MY DISEASE IS CHRONIC I'VE LOST CONTROL
MY DISEASE IS CHRONIC I'VE LOST CONTROL
the appearance
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -[/center]
hair color, Light brown. It's straight, a bit thick and is cut an inch or two past his ears.
eye color, A brownish hazel, darker than his hair though not completely brown.
height, Six feet, zero inches. He's an infuriating two inches shorter than Sirius, is a tiny bit taller than James and practically towers over Wormtail.
weight, 150. He's a weedy bloke.
general appearance
Remus is pretty tall, especially with the growth spurt he went through this summer, standing at 6'0. He's a lanky bloke, skinny with a bit of lean muscle, though not much. He still has lanky, thin, boyish arms and legs but he's beginning to get rid of that part. Slowly.
Remus' hair is thickish/ of medium thickness and light brown, cut an inch or two below his ears. It's straight, sometimes getting a little wavy in the rain. He never really does anything to it in the morning other than run his fingers through it in the morning to flatten it out, and the only hair care product he uses is shampoo and not even that much of it. He takes five minutes getting ready in the morning, max.
Remus has brownish hazel eyes darker than his hair, and brown eyelashes and eyebrows that are a bit darker than his hair as well.
Remus definately has more scars than the average Hogwarts student. They're all over his body, some much more noticeable than others. The most prominent one is about four or five inches long and goes from beside his nose to his eyebrow. The story is that he and Sirius got into a flying motercycle accident, which is partially true- Sirius did and got a scar on his arm, Remus wasn't even there and the motercycle was fixed with a simple 'reparo'.
Remus generally wears the school uniform with just the pants and white shirt and tie slightly loose, no matter how cold it is he hates wearing the robes and will only wear them if asked by a teacher. When he's not wearing the required uniform then he tends to wear jeans and t-shirts/hoodies or button-up shirts. He hates hats, and will not wear them either.

likes, He is quite fond of the friends he has, namely Sirius Black, James Potter, and Peter Pettigrew. He is a chocoholic and has no qualms with admitting it. Remus is definately a bookworm, loving anything about books- the smell, the feel, and above all- the words. Fresh ink and parchment make this nerd feel happy inside. He does love his Yeats poetry, too- though doesn't mention it much due to the endless teasing James and Sirius give him for it. While quite, Remus is mischievous and definately enjoys the OCCAISIONAL prank (coughSiriuscough). He definately appreciates witty humor. Snow is his favorite weather, he loves it, and the huge snowball fights that come with it aren't bad either. Though not the best at it, he loves to play the muggle sport, football (or American soccer). He likes to be liked, and because of this lets his friends get away with quite a bit. He loves passageways and the musky smell that comes with them. He does like his horror films, one of his stranger traits.
dislikes, Remus dislikes both his lycanthropy and occaisionally himself, though Sirius and James don't ever let him dwell on it for long. He loves to read, and doesn't appreciate it when people try to disrupt it, whether it be by chucking it off the Astronomy tower into the lake or just playing ridiculously loud music. For obvious reasons, he hates Fenrir Greyback with a burning passion. Again, for obvious reasons, he isn't fond of pureblood supremacy and dark magic. He can't stand classical music. 'Nuff said. Though stereotypical and quite silly, he doesn't like cats. He hates the full moon, and the moon in general. He doesn't even attempt to eat anything made by his friends, who manage to make toast toxic.
strengths, Remus is a tolerant lad, though you kind of have to be with a furry little problem and friends like his. He's loyal to the core, rather Hufflepuff like in that aspect. He has that admirable bravery Gryffindors are fond of, though seems to be lacking the all-too-common rashness of his house. He's intelligent, and his intelligence is a mix of natural ability and and the hundreds of books he loves to read. He can be just as much as prankster as his best friends at times, but has the most common sense of the group for sure- something he's often lightly teased for. He's responsible, friendly, and helpful; these aspects of his character earned him his shiny prefect badge.
weaknesses, Remus has the most annoying trait of thinking he's a monster, and hating himself for it. Sirius and James usually tell him to shut up when he makes his opinions on himself vocal, which is a very good thing. Remus is also rather quiet and shy, though not nearly as much as in first year he still carries a book around to read when other people are talking. Remus lets his friends get away with too much, he usually doesn't try and stop something they do even if he isn't comfortable with it at all- like with their bullying of Severus Snape.
worst fear, Attacking someone, anyone, while in wolf form.
boggart, The incident with Sirius telling Snape to go to the Shrieking Shack on the night of the full moon. He's not even talking about that, nope. Not happening.
amortenia, Books old and new ; hot tea; the forrest; the musky smell in secret passageways.
sexuality, Straight, but he tends to stay away from any form of romantic relationship.
overall personality,
Remus is nice, perhaps even too nice. He is forgiving and often tries to see the best in people. He finds it hard to hate people, even the likes of Severus Snape. Moony is and always has been quiet and even a bit shy, especially in comparison to his friends. He's responsible and sensible (usually), and out of the four Marauders he's got the most common sense. He likes to be liked, and cuts his friends a lot of slack for this reason. Remus is too polite and/or quiet to really tell people if he doesn't think something is right, unless he's really, really against it.
Professors love Remus because he's not only intelligent, but polite and helpful as well- though he is in no way a teacher's pet, no matter what James says. He's not in denial about it either. Nope. Remus' intelligence comes from a combination of natural ability and countless hours bent over books.
Remus is a good friend. He's loyal to the core, and doesn't put other people down (unless you're Sirius and trying to make him bungee jump off the Astronomy Tower, then he'll let out a stream of profanity even he didn't know he was capable of). He never actually insults people, and a little light teasing from him never hurt anyone. Even if he's quiet, he's more than willing to stick up for his best friends, who are like brothers to him. He's patient and forgiving enough, a trait valued by many.
Remus thinks he's a monster, and hates himself for it. He isn't always in this state of mind, but it's there too damn often to be healthy. Luckily he has great friends who won't tolerate it and tell him to shut up and make him feel like less of one anyway.
When it comes to people Remus consider friends or even just nice, he's a pushover 90 percent of the time. He's one of the more lenient prefects at Hogwarts, and unfortunately people take advantage of this often.
Even if Remus is considered as quiet and polite, he still has a Marauder side that loves mischief and can be quite cheeky. He's pulled his fair share of pranks, but usually stops when they become outright cruel, or if they involve Snape. Remus just likes to keep his distance from Snape.
Once you get Remus' adreneline pumping, you see an entire different side of him. He shows werewolf-like endurance and speed, and is a great asset in a fight. He'll deny it if you mention it, but when Remus is drunk enough he's quite amusing indeed...:P.

mother & family, Not mentioned in the books. Let's say her name was Gwendolyn and thay she's from a muggle family called the Jamisons. Muggleborn witch.
father &family, Again, not mentioned in books. John Lupin, works at Ministry of Magic, his father was pureblooded and his mother was halfblooded.
siblings, None.
overall history,
As Remus was bitten by Fenrir Greyback at an early age, he has no recollection of a time where he was not a werewolf. Remus almost died during his first trasformation, as the pain was too much for his small body. During his early childhood, before Hogwarts; Remus went through the brutal transformation in the basement of the Lupin family home, with soundproof walls and nobody to hear him scream. They didn't want the neighbors knowing. That would be disastorous for everyone involved.
Remus was homeschooled as a child by his mother, Gwen. He learned to read when he was three years old and hasn't put down his books since. Even as a preschooler he would sit in his rooms for hours and hours, devouring books. He was never really a social person, and was extremely quiet and withdrawn in his very early years. The neighbors told his mum it wasn't healthy, Gwen politely told them to shut up.
They'd hoped Remus would be able to go to Hogwarts, but with his condition they didn't see how and planned to homeschool him in magic, too. When he recieved the Hogwarts letter they assumed it was a mistake, and scheduled a meeting with the Headmaster. When they were told of the Shack, they were extremely happy and grateful, as expected.
Remus was more nervous than he'd ever been before on September 1st, 1971. He needn't worry, though, as he soon met Sirius Black, James Potter, and Peter Pettigrew, who he remains friends with this very day. At school he was the favorite Marauder with the professors, but not the students as he was the quietest. He didn't mind, and if he were Sirius he'd have rubbed it in James' face a million times that at least he could get Lily to talk to him.
The four friends soon had a reputation of causing trouble, Remus doesn't even remember when in first year they started pranking, it just seems like they always were. He remembers Sirius and James coming up with some brilliant idea for anarchy, and the rest is..history. And bullying Snape, too- Remus just remembers that always being the way things were.
They've always had to deal with James chasing after Lily Evans, too, but that long ramble on her gorgeous emerald orbs and flowing red hair belongs on James' profile, not Remus'. Ick.
In second year Remus' worst nightmare came true, only it turned into a dream- his friends found out about his furry little problem...and were fine with it, supportive even.
As expected, Remus aced his OWLs. Except for Divination, but who passes that one? That same year, his friends became animaguses and his transformations were suddenly much more bearable.
Remus hates talking about the incident with Snape and the shack in 6th year. It's still horrifying to him to think he almost killed a boy. He and Sirius didn't talk much for almost three whole months before they finally made up. It is, by far, the worst experience of Remus' life to date.
And so begins 7th Year, and not much has happened yet. Hopefully they'll go out with a bang, but with friends like Remus', that's almost 100% certain.

George seems slightly relieved at my ‘I knew it!’ expression. We sit down at an old, but clean, table. I am surprised at the interior of the pub. The outside is shabby and a big turn-off, but the inside is completely different. It’s warm and inviting, and every wooden table shines. The atmosphere is friendly. George gets two drinks- something called ‘butterbeer’. I don’t touch it- what if he’s poisoning me or something? He drinks his, and frowns when he sees my still-full-to-the-brim glass, but doesn’t comment.
His lengthy, slightly awkward in places, explanation is way to long to write here. So I’ll just give a summary. So magic exists. I’m in a magical pub right now, one muggles can’t see. A muggle is a non-magical person. Ms. Fitch, the Bitch-Lady who runs the orphanage, is a muggle, for example. Outside of this pub is a place called Diagon Ally, and you must use your wand to tap the bricks in the proper places to gain entry. Incredible, right? But that’s not the weirdest bit- I’m a witch. Something about how all the strange events recorded in my file add up. An acceptance letter from a magical school called Hogwash, or Hogwarts, or Pigfarts, or something along those lines will supposedly come on my eleventh birthday. This is a lot-possibly too much- to digest at once. And yet I still feel like he isn't telling me something!
I finally, after George insists, take a sip of my butterbeer. Like he told me, it does help. I am filled with a lovely warm feeling, and it calms my nerves significantly....and then he takes me into the alley.
It's too magnificent for words. A kind of narrow, cobblestone street runs down the middle of the main alley, with people bustling about in robes of every color. I swear, one lady even has a stuffed vulture on her head like in those really old pictures. They have the strangest, most wonderful shops! There's a bank so tall it must be supported by magic, an ice cream parlour with flavors from vanilla to something called Bertie Bott's, a supply store for some sport called 'Quidditch', an anchient looking wand shop, and even a cool/scary-looking ally called Nocturn, which apparantly I'm supposed to stay out of. George tells stories and jokes all the way down the alley, but I'm far to entranced by the shops and people to listen.
Then I spot the coolest fucking shop ever. It's bright, colorful, and full of things that go BOOM!. The sign says 'Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes" in bright, vibrant letters. It's packed almost to the brim, and very noisy.
"What's that?" I ask George, pointing to the crowded shop.
He smirks, says something I can't make out over the noise and leads me in.
