the appearance

hair color,Black
eye color,Gray
height, 6'2
weight, 170
general appearance His hair is stark black, too messy by nature to be classified as straight, but certainly and unarguably good looking. It goes about to the bottom of his neck, longer than most adults would like, but short enough he can’t really do anything about it in his face. He tends to run his hands through it when they’ve got nothing better to do. He personally doesn't like his eyes much; finds the color dreadfully boring. He also shares the deep gray orbs with the rest of his family, which is a huge downside, considering that on them they look fathomless and occasionally terrifying. They're also probably the only one of his features that others (the Marauders) can read when he's upset.
He stands over six foot tall, lean and with a bit of muscle from years of sports and fighting. He has very distinguished facial features, a set pointed jaw and slightly sunken cheeks. He has been told -and knows well- that he has dashing good looks, and can be quite elegant if he tried. Instead though he has a very youthful appearance. When out of school he dresses in mainly muggle attire, things like jeans and tee shirts from rock bands. He's also taken a certain fondness to his leather jacket. He has a few small scars from various incidents, be it fights with his family, failed pranks, QUidditch incedents, and he also has a tattoo in his upper left arm that says "Risk more than others think is safe, care more than others think is wise, dream more than other's thing is practical, expect more than others think is possible"- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

overall personality, Sirius is the kind of person that can't sit still and do nothing when people are in trouble. But to be honest, he can't really sit still and do nothing ever. The idea of doing nothing doesn't appeal to him. He strongly believes that people should live like they're dying, and have as much fun in life as possible. He takes each day as it comes and makes the most of it, and if he ever has a future and it's completely screwed up, he'll deal with it then and there.
He's childish, and he likes to think that that makes him charming. Probably because most of the girls at Hogwarts seem to agree. Though he's had many offers, the farthest he'll ever go is flirting. Probably hurt a few hopefuls, but there's something about him that's completely endearing... which is probably the only reason he hasn't gotten expelled yet too. Most adults have a love hate relationship with him. He's too mischievous and loud to really be liked, but it could be worse. He's not evil at least. He's rather the opposite.
No, he's not always an immature energy ball though. He's got a nasty temper that doesn't take more than a few wrong words to set off. He doesn't hold grudges for the little things, but if he decided that he hates you, you will not have a pleasant life. He tends to like and dislike those that his friends did. Codependency is an irksome little negative trait. He's also not always happy. He likes being happy, he likes people thinking he's happy, but no one's ever always happy. Especially not after what happened in sixth year with Moony and Snivellous and after his parent's disowned him. But hey, laugh or cry, and it should maybe be said his mental health is a tad questionable.
He's brave, but he's thoughtless and impulsive and constantly gets himself into fixes that he really can't fix. His favorite past time is defying to odds on a regular basis. He's daring and likes to show that off. He has this truly stupid logic that he has to do everything by himself, and whatever goes wrong is his fault, but he also takes due credit for all the good stuff. He's not the most social person out there or an easy one to get close to. Once you have however he's a good and reliable friend, loyal to a fault it's been said and willing to do anything for the people he cares about.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
WHEN YOU BLESS THE DAY
the history

mother & family, Walburga Black, and absolute and complete prick with a stick shoved up her *ss and the scream of a banshee the no one deserves to suffer through. Oh, was he supposed to be being nice? She's also a biggoted human being and the worst mother that ever existed.
father &family, Orion Black, see above statement. There's only a need to write about their family once, seeing that Orion and Walburga are cousins and insest run high in the family (which isn't a cause for insanity or anything). That manes somewhere on that blasted tree there's Bellatrix (Trix the bitch who needs to go die in a hole), Andromeda (Andie and there's nothng bad he can say about her) And Narcissa (Cissy who may just be a half decent human being if she didn't spend her life sitting on the sidelines trying to look pretty)
siblings, Regulus Black, sixth year, Slytherin
overall history, Sirius didn’t have the best of childhoods. Actually, he’d go as far as to say he had one of the worst. He was born in 1960 as the oldest child to Orion and Walburga Black and raised as the heir to his family. They strongly supported the idea of pureblood supremacy in the wizarding world and rejected muggle-borns and blood traitors. Sirius’ cousins and brother all wordlessly followed what they were told, but as a young child Sirius didn’t think before doing things all the time. And sometimes he asked too many questions or talked to the wrong person, and he quickly became the white sheep among the Blacks. After one particularly bad move at a party he’d been taken aside by his mother. She’s given her utter most ‘concern’ that he was going to be a squib, and he wouldn’t repeat the threat she’d given for if he was. Sirius proved her wrong, of course. As soon as he started to show signs of magic he did everything in his power to prove himself. But sometime within the year, he realized it wasn’t working. He still wasn’t a person his family was proud to be related to; Regulas was still the prized son. And since he couldn’t stand failing, he began to change his tactics. He went out of his way to do everything his family forbade, and they went out of their way to punish him for his disobedience.
Going off to Hogwarts, Sirius had been ecstatic. He wanted nothing more to spend the year away from home and learn magic. He’d been warned well what would happen if he wasn’t a Slytherin or if he associated with mudbloods. But he listened to the warning with less than half an ear. He soon found himself sitting next to James Potter, teasing a greasy little git he’d names Snivellous and his red-headed girlfriend. Before long they’d become acquainted with Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. The four clicked and became fast friends. Somehow they’d all landed themselves in Gryffindor; it was the greatest shock. They spent the remainder of their Hogwarts years as the most popular kids in school, top of their classes, expert pranksters, Quidditch stars, and with a new girl every week. Well, that last one may have just been Sirius. After the howler the day after his sorting, Sirius hadn’t heard from his parents all year. He became upset about the prospect of returning home and he soon found he had a reason to do so. He had officially become a blood traitor, and though their relationship had always been strained, he was convinced now his family hated him. And the feeling was mutual.
In their fourth year, Sirius, James, and Peter found out about Remus’ lycanthropy and decided to become animagi to assist him during the full moons. The process took most of the year and was very difficult and dangerous, especially with their tendency to cut corners and get off topic. They were successful though, and from then on once a month Sirius was a large black dog. He’d been giving the nickname Padfoot then, and their group as a whole finally became the Marauders. That name, along with fantasies of glory, sparked the idea for the Marauders Map. On his next return home Sirius put up permanent Gryffindor banners and posters of muggle girls and motorcycles. The fights at Grimmauld Place began to involve curses. Sirius knew it was only a matter of time before he was kicked out, so he decided to beat them to the chase and run away. That night wasn’t particularly special; it was summer, Walburga was screaming, Sirius had been injured, and he just said bye. It had been an impulsive decision; one that got him blasted off the family tree. He didn’t know where to go, but he grudgingly found himself at the Potter’s house and they took him in. His Uncle Alphard also sympathized with him and left him a large inheritance. Returning to school again it seemed things couldn’t have gotten better. That was until the feud between Snape and him reached its peak and he sent the Slytherin into the Shrieking Shack while Remus was transformed to very possibly be killed. He’d later admit it wasn’t his best plan, but it served Snape right. His friends were upset with him though, and for a period of time Sirius was completely alone. Luckily he was Sirius, and he was easy to forgive. Because if they hadn’t, he had no idea what he’d have done with himself. Now, its their final year in school, and things are going good again if you exclude the advancing war and strange new exchange students. That's really all there is too it.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

roleplay sample. Indoor Quidditch may not have been his smartest idea. Not to say that the lot of Sirius Black’s idea leaked brilliance. However, this may have been one of his most destructive to date. He was staying at Hogwarts over the winter holiday because, well, he didn’t exactly have anywhere else to go. But most of the students had gone home to see their families, and the ones left simply weren’t entertaining enough. He hated classes, but at least they’d given him something to do for half the day. Not the work, but the antagonizing those around him. Now he was just… he was bored. And that was never a good thing.
It was snowing outside. Remus’ broom was in their dorm. Slughorn’s staircase was empty. It really seemed like a good plan at the time. Good practice for.. something or other. But preciseness had never been his strong suit in flying. He’d taken a good bit of the stairwell bar out, and the broom didn’t seem to like that. It like Moony was screaming bad idea. And then, because Sirius never did like Remus’ disapproving face, he somehow managed to miss the wall right in front of him. Rather then breaking the broom though –and possibly a few bones- the wall opened up and he toppled inside. Well, this was something to add to the Marauders Map. He picked up the broom and was about to start exploring when he heard quick heavy footsteps down the stairwell. He was not getting detention over winter vacation.
So he hopped on the broom and zoomed through the pathway as fast as he could, no idea where it would lead, if it even lead anywhere. It would to a terribly boring pathway if it didn’t go anywhere. And then he would wait for Slughorn just so he could complain that this was the worst pathway ever. Luckily the pathway did have an end though. Well, and end that somehow ended up the Divination Tower. There was no magic pathway that time. Just a big crash as the broom snapped under him and dropped to the ground. That… was bad. He wondered if he could fix that. He should fix that. Because now the problem wasn’t Remus’ broom disapproving, it was Moony. But it wasn’t like it was his fault. Who put the stupid secret pathway next to the tower anyway? They needed to be fired. Unless they were dead already. Because that might pose a problem.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
